Not The Best Day Ever-LP LOG

Jhan couldn't say travel here was the best, it was not. He got separated, twice from the beast that was to get him here, sure they made it to the shoreline and then after Halyard he wakes up all scared and alone so he went to look for Stream..didn't find her, got a bit lost on the beach but at least he knew a direction, go towards that very large mountain and still being a bit young he was not the best at planing like making sure he had supplies, and then there was seagulls and then there was panic and terror as he run from them only to trip and stumble, finding some over turned old log boat with a hole in it he quickly ducks under that.

Zolomon choose today to finally get some time off, as he walked along the beach towards Halyard. Luckly he always had his longbow and arrows with him, even if it was only half a dozen arrows, it's not like he planed to find some sort of fight. He frowns as he notices the gulls, and caught movement just not who or what sort of movement but he also wasn't one to walk away and keep going if some beast was in trouble so he gets an arrow, selects one and fires at one of the gulls as the dive towards the log boat.

Felicity does not have a day off! In fact, she's been teamed up with a very new Recruit who obviously can't tell a crab from a lobster. They're out on a little 1-on-1 teaching thing, and the Corporal looks about ready to dump him in the ocean. "'Ow on Earth c'n y'not tell if somethin's edible or not? Did y'not study anythin' in leveret school?" "School's for eggheads who never leave the Mountain." They are walking in the direction of the logboat and the other hares, but have yet to notice them because the Recruit is a haughty, egotistical nincompoop and the Runner is about ready to do something she'll regret to him.

Jhan screams as one sea gull gets too close and he backs up, the sea gull manages to move the already broken log boat and one dives...no wait falls from the sky with an arrow in it's neck as the young hare, not quiet yet out of dibbun seasons looks on wide eyed and then gasps as one other almost grabs him and so he runs...there was 4 gulls and now there is 3 live ones and one dead one.

Zolomon narrows his eyes and selects another arrow, he has yet to see just who the sea gulls is chasing as he was a fair distance away. He fires off a second arrow to hopefully end another birds lunch attempt. He soon gets a better idea just whom those sea gulls are chasing and frowns, he can figure things out later and ask questions after this is over.

Felicity turns to look ahead of them to keep herself from stabbing the Recruit or something and finally sees the excitement going on. "Oh, f'the love....quick! Go back t'the Mountain!" "But--" "JUST DO AS I SAY F'ONCE IN Y'LIFE AN' TELL THEM THERE'S A GULL ATTACK!!!" The Recruit takes off at a run, and the Corporal quickly loads her sling and, running forward to join Zolomon, screeches and fires at a gull. FINALLY, she can kill something and not get in trouble (even though that dumb Recruit sort of maybe deserves it a little).

Jhan whimpers and trips, the arrow slides across one of the gulls wings and it circles and seems to decide Zolomon would make a good target as he was the one that fired an arrow, the other two gulls still go for the young hare, though one is hit with a stone and sort of rolls onto the sands and has a slightly messed up wing, puffs out and screeches loudly, only one still sort of circles.

Zolomon cusses as the arrow just slide across the birds side, he then frowns as it dives towards him and he has no time to fire off another arrow so he gets his saber and goes to stab at the bird as it grabs his arm and lifts him up a little ways, "Let go ya feather bag bully!!!" He sends another stab at the bird and seems to hit it enough to seriously injure it and it falls, with him onto the sand, lucky not very high but the wind is still knocked from him and sand is sort of soft as he ooofs a little and lays there a little dazed.

Felicity has loaded another rock into her sling and is now close enough to actually hit the blasted birds. Figuring Zolomon can take care of himself, she keeps going towards the leveret and goes to smack the closest gull with her loaded sling. Hurriedly switching it to her left paw, she draws her sword, standing over Jhan to protect him as best as she can. "EULALIAAAA!!"

Jhan eyes go wide as he shivers some, the bird Felicity is attacking is hit again and goes to try and peck her. The one still circles and the one serious injured by Zolomon tries to attempt to pin him down but it doesn't really have much fight in it.

Zolomon is still a little dazed but not so much he can't swing a saber at a sea gull and kick it to the side as he stands a little wobbly and has some claw marks on his upper left arm that's bleeding now, but lucky not too deep as he looks to where the other two sea gulls are and gets an arrow ready in case its needed.

Felicity is in her element! Swinging her loaded sling at one bird, she goes to stab the other one with her short sword. Of course, she might need some help, but she's also fighting her best.

Jhan frowns "Birds..bad" He looks near tears and screams as the bird goes to lunge at the haremaid, this only helps the haremaid get a better angle to stab the bird in the chest with a fatal blow as the bird screeches and sort of falls over, the other one wisely stays out of the way and sort of circles and flaps as if its deciding what to do.

Zolomon aims and lowers his longbow as he sees the bird die , he looks up at the other one, an arrow aimed but not yet fired at the bird, but he keeps a very close eye on the bird as he walks closer to the two.

Felicity moves quickly on from the one she killed to the remaining gull, teeth bared as she watches it circle her and the leveret. "Oh, y' 'igh an' mighty birds think ya all that, wot? Attackin' an innocent Dibbun in broad daylight so near th' Mountain! Well, come at me, feathah brain! I'll show you 'ow a Patrollah fights!" She starts twirling the loaded sling at her side, and soon the air is filled with a deadly hum.

Jhan frowns, the seagull decides to be smart and leave, it will likely come back to...well not really moorn its friend, likely his friend will be lunch, isnt that nice. The young hare sniffs and cries a little now.

Zolomon watches the gull fly off, he makes sure no other ones are around as he walks over to the two and holds his arm "Hey....ya both ok now?" He frowns, yes he is in a little pain "Maybe head inside....?"

Felicity watches the gull fly off and slows her sling's motion, then lets it wrap around her paw. She manages to keep the stone from hitting her paw, and sheathes her sword. "Aye....oh, are y'bleedin'? I 'ave a first aid kit. Nevah know what lunacy those Recruits'll get themselves into, wot!" She puts her sling and stone away and removes the small pack she has tied around her waist. "I'll wrap it up 'ere so y'don't bleed everywhere on the way in. Did they 'urt you?" she asks, turning to the leveret. She goes to bandage up Zolomon's arm as she waits for Jhan's answer.

Jhan shakes his head, seems they missed him...barely. He frowns "Stream....went away...left...so I find moun..mountain on own"

Zolomon listens "Stream....."He frowns and decides not to say anything rude, but he isnt happy. He lets Felicity bandage his arm and holds still"I'll live...been through worse lass...got ambushed by like 6 beasts once..not fun, got lucky and..well course other things too"

Felicity rolls her eyes slightly because she's still not having a good day. Pulling the bandages a little too tight, she deadpans, "Oh, yeah. Pretty sure every Patollah's been through that kinda stuff." Glancing at the leveret, she softens. "I 'ope she's alright, laddy buck. If I see 'er, I'll let 'er know y'safe, okay? But f'now, we needta get back t'th'Mountain, as Zolomon said."

Jhan frowns but nods, he looks over at Zolomon but doesn't do anything yet as he knows he is hurt, so hugging might be a bad idea right now.

Zolomon blinks and then tenses up a little "Not...so tight..please"He says quietly "And yeah inside is good, and today was ta be a day off too"

Felicity gives Zolomon a nasty smile. "Oh, I'm sorry. Guess I got /distracted/ by y'tellin' me about 'ow y've been through worse'n this, wot!" She loosens the bandage a little, then puts away the supplies and turns to the leveret. Holding out her paw to him, she gives him a genuine smile. "C'mon, let's see if we c'n round up a snack f'you, wot! I always feel famished aftah a scare."

Jhan smiles a little and decides to go with Felicity "I gets...something yummy?"

Zolomon frowns and mutters a sorry before stepping back and just deciding to be a guard on the way back to the mountain as they slowly head that way and he just remains silent on the trip.

Felicity leads the way, her anger cooling and guilt starting to prick on her heart for how she treated Zolomon. "Aye, lad, I'll make sure y'get somethin' yummy while we figah out what room y'gonna bunk in. You'll prob'ly start off, at least, with th' othah leverets. Then if y'join the Patrol, ye'll get moved to the room with the othat Recruits. But please don't do stupid things an' argue with y'trainahs when y'get there. That'll be a surefire way to get yeself in the worst kind o' trouble the Mountain c'n dish out, wot!" Glancing at Zolomon, she sighs. "An' then they'll 'ave bad days and do an' say things that they'll regret, and 'twill just be a 'uge mess."

Jhan nods and smiles "I wanna join Patrol...patrol hares are neat and the badger Lord is as TALL"And he shows or tries to with his arms "As the mountain is, and he scare alla vermin away and will smash all bad birds"

Zolomon just stays quiet, not liking having upset a corporal and so he doesn't chuckle at Jhan statement on just takes a deep breath and exhales. Once inside he excuses himself and slips off to the infirmary to get his arm looked at.

Once inside the Mountain, Felicity goes to lead the leveret to the mess hall after asking Zolomon to return once the Healers were done with him. Smiling, she nods, "Aye, 'is Lordship /is/ tall, isn't 'e? May'ap not /quite/ that tall, but tall enough to scare the vermin outta their minds, that's for sure, wot!" She waves down one of the hares who helps regularly in the kitchens and holds a brief whispered conversation with them. Nodding, they jog away towards the kitchen.

Jhan looks around and is right away curious as he tilts his head "It big in here...so so so so big, and no windows but that ok...I seen Long hares before..they help me"He frowns a little as he remembers something and hugs his knees to his chest.

Zolomon nods and salutes before getting his arm bandaged, he returns after a little while and quietly gets some salad, soup, a role and some juice and sits to eat lunch. His arm did need a couple stitches but is other wise ok, he got lucky as it could of been much worse. He also has some bruising on his shoulder a little and hip where he fell. His arm will be in a sling maybe a week or so then he can get back to training, he will still do some things, just nothing much involving much arm use.

Felicity thanks the server hare as they bring out food for them, and she takes it all over to where Zolomon is. There's soup, salad, rolls, and juice for her and Jhan, too. Sitting down, she goes to run his back. "Aye, I know, an' I'm sorry y' 'ad t'live through all that. 'Tis a 'ard thing."

Jhan frowns "Vermin....kill everyone, everyone die"Welll everyone didn't die but he assumed they had, he looks over at Zolomon and frowns and then looks to the food and smiles faintly, he is hungry as he starts to eat his food and sip his juice.

Zolomon looks at Felicity and sighs a little as he stirs the food around in his bowl "I know..Corporal..I should be more careful and next time I ...I will be, promise but it could of bally well been worse and..and I am glad ya ok..Jhan"Yes he knows his name, he knows who it is as he just stands and leaves half his meal on the table"Gonna go ta take a blooming nap"And he starts to walk to the doorway.

Felicity smiles as he watches the leveret start to eat. "Oh, so ye're Jhan? We got a lettah sayin' ye'd be comin'..." as Zolomon starts to walk away, she jumps up and catches up with him. "Wait, Zolomon, I....'M sorry fer 'ow I acted out there. I was frustrated an' shouldn't've taken it out on you. Is your arm okay?" And she definitely means more than his arm, but she's too self-conscious to ask if he forgives her. What if he says no and stays mad at her forever?! She can't bear to ask and find out. So she doesn't. Cowardly, maybe, but that's the way it is.

Jhan nods but still frowns, yeah he is here but seems the haremaid Stream decided she rather be elsewhere and,,basically not tell the young hare a thing, just vanish off. "I Jhan...."He says between bites of food, he is also hungry as its clear he missing breakfast this morning and didnt eat much dinner last night.

Zolomon stops and slowly turns around, "Got to be in a sling for few days, week at most but should jolly well heal, so some training can't do well right now, tis ok..did help a young one after all, tis my job and all that." Yes it is his job to protect, but he isnt smiling right now just sort of a simple face expression right now, not upset..not really just tried maybe.

Felicity stands there awkwardly. "Um....well, that can be good...." Ears flattening, she turns and sits back down with a sigh. "It's nice t'meet you, Jhan. I'm Felicity," she holds out a paw to him, forcing a smile. She's happy he's here, but this little conflict she's having with her fellow Runner is stressful, to say the least.

Jhan looks at the paw and manages a giggle, he has yet to really understand you share the paw in greetings, its a hallo thing. He does smile. He eats a bit more food "I like the soup...tis....it good"

Zolomon nods "I...should go...excuse me..Corporal Felicity," He walks out and about bumps into another Private coming in for lunch, the Private just frowns and gets his lunch "Ok..someone having a bad day or something?"

Felicity frowns as Zolomon leaves. Great. Just great. Good job, Lissie. Coughing slightly, she focuses back on the task before her (welcoming a new leveret to Salamandastron). "Well, good, I'm glad 'tis tasty," she tells him with a smile. She stays with him until one of the leveret caretakers comes for him to help him get some more clothes and figure out where he should stay. When she's no longer needed for Jhan, she'll go back to her duties. She'll curl up in a fetal position later.....maybe skip dinner..... Today was the PITS.

Jhan watches the hares leave and frowns, the caretaker is a stranger and of course Jhan decides he will hide under the table and then grab the chair, the chair goes with him and dropped in the hallway somewhere,He will not talk to this caretaker..nope..just will stare at the other leverets and pout in a corner.

The one private just ...well..shrugs "Ok..today was ..interesting right? Ia mright huh?" Others just shake their heads and go back to their meal, as does the Private, yeah this is best eat and then back to some sort of training drill, big happy happy joy joy day for all!
