And here my troubles began.(PT 1)

Characters : Fae, Ereik(spoof) mysterious creature(spoof) and the rest of the carpenters(spoofs)

Fae and a small group of carpenters had been travelling for most of the day. The sun was beginning to set and this would be their last rest before continuing onwards towards the Black gull tavern.

The group had left in a hurry last night and barely made it out of the abbey gates before they closed. They still had a long and hard journey ahead of them before they would reach their destination. A tall muscular stoat trodded his way up to the pretty little foxmaid.

"well hullo there mizz fae" he greets her with an akward deep bow. "i couldn elp but noticin yer troubled expression...is somethin the matt'er?"

Fae looks surprised to see the young stoat. "oh, hello Ereik. n-no im fine...really" she hates lying to people but this was too personal. She and Ereik had a special connection from the moment they left. all the others were fine...but something about Ereik made her smile...and it made her fur stick up on end and not in a good way either

The young stoat nods "so...this 'ouse ere is quite the project. nofink my men can't 'andle!" he chuckles. "why ye likes this flicktail feller anyways?" he asks and listen carefully

Fae smiles. "oh...He's a really nice, caring beast...he understands me i guess. and we just...connected like a hammer does to a nail or paint to a canvas" and blushes. "oh...im boring you with all my girlish babble"

Ereikchuckles shakes his head "no yer really not. your a good beast too mizz fae"

Fae blushes "thank you Ereik" and looks at the stoat more clearly now. seeing the scar across the left side of his face and his deep powerful gaze.

Ereik grins. "anytime mizz Fae" he tilts his head and stares into fae's eyes."you have wonderful eyes mizz fae"

Fae grins and then shakes her head. "err...thanks Ereik, could you go and refil my canteen for me?" pouring out the rest of her canteen behind her back.

Ereik nods taking the empty canteen from her. "be back in a jiffy!" and runs off

Fae sighs. "oh...that poor ereik..so willing to do things for me....i can't tell him enough times that im engaged. and still he pesters me with his affection!" she grabs her satchel and calls out. "alright! lets start moving! we want to reach the tavern in less than two hours!"

Somewhere in the bushes a mysterious beast grins after spying on this little group. "she's engaged to the champion eh?" it whispers to itself in a hoarse voice. and cackles, climbing into a tree, ready to follow them

Outside The Black Gull Tavern:

Ereik sets the cart down infront of the tavern. "this it Mizz Fae?" he calls out. hearing her voice not far behind him. "of course this is it! there is a SIGN right there!"

Fae walks up beside ereik and nods. "yes ereik...this is it"

Ereik grins. and whispers to fae. "i asked..coz i can't read....at all" and looks embarresed to have told her this

Fae grins and touches ereik's arm. "no problem! im a teacher...i can teach you a little while we travel!"

Ereik beams and hugs fae,lightly, "oh thunk ye mizz fae! thunks ye!" and lets go of her and pushes the door open. "after ye m'lady"

The Black Gull Tavern:

The small group of travelers sits at one table while Fae and Ereik sit at another. Ereik takes a swig from a bottle of rum. "mm glad i cames along with ye mizz fae" he says with a little hiccup

Fae looks at Ereiks face. "well im glad you were willing to help build this house, you AND your group of carpenters"

Ereik chuckles. "least i could do fer such a...a beautiful young foxmaid such as yerself!" and takes a large swallow of rum. becoming more tipsy

Fae blushes again. "oh...why, thank you again Ereik. your so kind" and eats a spoonful of soup.

There is an outburst of drunken laughter from the other carpenters. Ereik grins sheepishly. "iss a bit loud in ere, don't ya think?"

Fae nods. " i agree" and heads just outside the door.

Ereik and fae are conversing. the music and laughter from inside can be heard.

Ereik begins to talk more slowly. "listen...i...i really like ye mizz fae, i mean..yer so...so beau'iful" he hiccups.

fae can smell the rum in his breath. "oh umm...er..i-i" she stammers unable to tell him, to break his heart.

Ereik grins. "so...beautiful....like...like the moon" he says pointing at the moon. 'i could kizz the moon a million times and still it would give me no love....but you....you could still love me....could you do that mizz fae?" Ereik brushes her face gently and bends in for and kisses her lips

Fae jumps into action and pushes the stoat off and grabs hism by the collar and pushes him up against the wall. " listen Ereik! i have had it up to HERE with pschycotic beasts targeting me. so do NOT touch me again! i could not..nor will not love you!" and leaves the stoat blinking confusedly as she runs inside and up the stairs, slamming the door to her room shut and locks it.

Meanwhile a heartbroken Ereik sits down and trembling and sobbing. "i-im susch an idiot! i have to make it up to her..." And slowly walks inside.
