Happens ICly the day after the Winter Feast: http://forum.rwmuck.org/viewtopic.php?id=82 (there's a link to part 2 of the feast logs at the end of that log
)
SCENE: Redwall Abbey Library
FRIENDS: Zinnia, a female badger; Aria, a female gull; spoofed badger babies. DoraRose, a female mouse.
LOG:
Zinnia has spent most of the day in Oz's room, and the past couple hours in here where she has gotten the key and is in the book binding room, it's quiet and she was able to feed her newborns in peace. They are now asleep on her lap and she looks a bit half asleep as well. She is still sore and still tired from everything that's happen, maybe she shouldn't of come down for the feast but she wanted to, and she wasn't alone she had Takeo watching her. Close by is a sea gull, Aira, but the sea gull is not in the way at least just close in case she needs to relay a message.
DoraRose peeks into the library. "Zinnia??" She saw her at the feast, but she was too busy guarding Marek to go over and say 'hi'. Dressed in her dress and tunic and apron, she pads through the library, quietly calling her friend's name. She comes to the door of the bookbinding room and knocks. "Zinnia?"
Zinnia is startled slightly, the bird hops down and goes to say something, that is until "Aira..no get back" "But I am only.....ok fine" Flapping of wings is heard and an annoyed grumble 'til Zinnia calls out "You can come in." A quick glare at the bird who hmmphs again and turns to face the wall from her perch by a high shelf in here that's empty.
DoraRose opens the door, her face wreathed in smiles. "Oh my goodness, I'm so glad to see you again! How have you been? Oh, and who is your lovely friend?" Compliments sometimes make grumpy birds less grumpy, right? "Oh, it's so good to see you again!" She sits on a footstool in here, gazing fondly at the baby badgers. "They're so
Zinnia smiles "Thanks...and the grumpy bird is Aira...sort of thinks she some body guard now, she isn't" She looks down at the sleeping twins still has a tired smile. "I am glad to be back, even if the last couple days not been totally good days"
DoraRose smiles. "Well, she seems like a good friend." She leans over, gazing at the Dibbuns' faces. "I heard that there was some scuffle on the road, but I was too busy preparing to guard at the feast to really listen What happened? Are y'all alright?"
Zinnia frowns, she nods slowly "I am fine, this black furred fox had me, pushed me into the ditch where some ice water was and I remember going under but someone had jumped in and pulled me up....I was a little out of it, and in some pain...someone else pulled us up and that's when I noticed it was Marek that got me out, but not sure who got me and him back to the road"
Zinnia says, "Marek and this hare got me to the abbey...my dibbuns were...going to be born early, but I got to the abbey and Rayen and Uncle Oz helped me, sort of been staying in his room, he is using papa's old room for now"
DoraRose listens attentively. "That must've been very scary," she murmurs. "I was really nervous about being a mommy after Lily and Caleb were born. I would've been scared to death if they had been born early..."
Zinnia nods "It was...scary, guess I passed out about a day or day and half, I went to the feast but mostly sat of course. I know that fox was killed...but not before it hurt..." And she still has yet to see Xander, they wouldn't let her, and when she got a chance he was sleeping so she didn't go into the room. "I just hope I am a good mother"
DoraRose looks up at her friend's face and goes to rest a paw on her arm, being careful to not jostle either baby in any way. "I believe that you will be. You're a good mom to Xander, and I believe that you'll be a good mother to these 2, as well. I believe in you." She bites her lip a little, then adds, "I thought I would be a terrible mother, and I did have a lot of trouble being patient with my twins. But I learned patience by trying to be gentler, kinder, more loving, and now I'm more patient. It's really, really hard work, being a mom, but it's worth it."
Zinnia looks down at the twins as they stir slightly but luckily stay asleep, a couple tears fall "Xander...hates me, he wants nothing to do with me" The sea gull has listened a little but stays where she is, maybe a nap is good or a fly around outside, yeah that's good she can come back
DoraRose says quietly, "I think he just hurts in his heart. I'm not sure what all happened to him when he was held captive by Jedrick, but I think it was all bad. I think he'll come to forgive you; you'll just need to give him time. I'm sure there is still love for you in his heart; he just needs to remember it." She goes to give her friend a hug around the shoulders.
Zinnia nods "I just hope he is...ok, have yet to see how bad hurt he was I just know the fox hurt him and I just briefly saw....the blood on the road and he wasn't moving and that hare and Marek just led me to the abbey, didn't let me see Xander...I know Leon was there and Takeo but still...I mean how bad hurt was he?"
DoraRose shrugs a little and shakes her head. "I don't know. I haven't been in the Infirmary yet, and I haven't talked to Leon or my grandmother about him yet. But he has the best care in the area; I wouldn't trust my loved ones to very many others, and I'd rather have them here. And he stumbled down to the feast yesterday, so I'm sure he'll be okay."
Zinnia blinks, "I...heard he woke briefly" She is clearly still worried and it show, the twins whimper a little and she rocks them slightly, she decides to change the subject "I...have names for them...for the twins"
DoraRose lets her friend change the subject and sits back down on her footstool. "Oh? What are they?" She smiles up into her friend's face, letting the badger mom lead the conversation to whatever will help her. Also, the babies are ADORABLE, and she wants to snuggle them, but she refrains from offering to hold them, remembering well her New-Mommy hesitancy to let other people hold her twins.
Zinnia smiles "The girl is Northstar and the boy I named after papa...Zork" She manages a smile, "They sleep a lot right now...be interesting when they crawl around"
DoraRose smiles softly. "Those are really good names. Beautiful choices. And, yes, babies do tend to sleep a lot.....but once they figure out how to walk, they quickly start running, and they don't ever seem to stop..." Furrowing her brow, she adds, "I remember shortly after Lily and Caleb were born, I was exhausted for a quite a while. Maybe you should rest. Come on," she adds gently, going to help the badger to her room, if she'll go.
Zinnia nods as she goes to follow. She stands and carefully carries the newborns to the room she has been staying in and gets some needed rest.

Thanks for reading! Again, this happened the day after the Winter 2016/2017 Feast, so some of the sad things have been resolved
Happy RPing!
SCENE: Ferravale: Chieftain's Office
FRIENDS: Blisa, Chieftain of Ferravale, a female cat; Ferdinand, a bodyguard and a male ferret; Hank, another bodyguard and a male fox. Nightbreath, a male ermine. A spoofed regular guard. Texo, a male weasel.
LOG:
Blisa is in her office, doing paperworkish things. You know, those boring things that Chieftians have to do. She's not smiling by any means, but her face seems kind of....relaxed. Peaceful. Like she's actually having a sort of good day. Ferdinand is sitting in a corner, literally making a quilt. Hank and a regular town guard are, well, guarding the door, which is closed. Anyone who wants to see the Chieftain has to go through them first.
Nightbreath enters the hall outside the office, ducking his head respectfully to the guards. "Is the Chieftainess available? Or should I come back later?" He's at ease at the moment, but he's still curious as to how Blisa is holding up, seeing as she's in charge of the entire village, and has been for months...
Texo slowly comes down the hall, under his arm is a rolled up scroll of some sort, two large scrolls, he slows as he comes to a door and...backs away from the creepy ermine....yeah this is lovely.
Hank opens the door and says, "Er, Miss Blisa, Nightbreath an' another beast are 'ere." The young cat looks up. "Okay, thanks. Let them in." The fox opens the door as the other guard gestures for the ermine and the weasel to enter. Ferdinand looks up from his quilt and moves the frame up against the wall as he stands and stretches. The Chieftian folds her paws on her desk and waits for the 2 to enter.
Nightbreath enters softly, his sandals making nary a sound on the floor. He nods to Texo before turning his attention to Blisa, saying, "I wanted to talk to you, but it's not important. Perhaps this beast should address thee first..." He glances to Texo again, expectantly.
Texo doesn't get too close to Nightbreath and nods to the chieftain "Umm...ello miss, I am Texo...Architect....and I had spoken with a...Zee Winters and he mentioned you were the best to talk to bout my skills, I spoke to another beast also...an idea for a bell tower came to my mind and I could help build it and get others help as well....I got plans and..." He drops a scroll and sets it down "Oh wrong one, that's headquarters for this group, Mossflower Defenders...ahh here" He gets the right blueprint out for a simple bell tower, not as fancy as the abbey one but maybe a little taller.
Blisa offers a slight smile to the seemingly nervouse weasel. She patiently waits until he opens the scroll, then she leans over to look at it. "Oh, it's lovely. However, we could use a good inn first, or perhaps an addition to the tavern so it has some inn rooms. But this is a lovely idea. I think we would definitely have use for it in the future. What would you construct it from?"
Nightbreath nods at Blisa's statement, flashing a quick smile of symbol-marked teeth in an attempt to put Texo at ease. "I concur with Blisa. We should focus on giving beasts places to stay, then expand from there. But this plan looks well made," he says, examining the scroll.
Texo answers "Some good stone, maybe metal in a couple places, and a wooden staircase to go to where the bell is, you could even name the bell after someone if you would like" He nods "I could ask the tavern owner if he would like to expand the tavern, as for an Inn...it is odd you have none"
Blisa's face hardens, her smile becoming a little...forced. "It....the inn was burned down, probably by an arsonist, shortly before my father died." Her paw curls around a glass paperweight she has on her desk as bad memories come rocketing to the surface. "Do....um...yeah. If you would talk to Marek about that, that'd be great. Tell him that I sent you. Mentioning that you're a friend of the late Zee Winters would be good, too; he was greatly respected here in Ferravale." She sits back and looks at the piece of glass in her paw, her smile gone. "You're a very good designer, Texo. Where did you learn that, or have you always been talented like this?" Her voice sounds friendly, but there is a great sadness showing in her eyes.
Nightbreath's face darkens as well, but it's hard to tell since his hood is up. He waits, ready to step in to aid Blisa if she needs it, and also keeps a watchful eye on Texo, somehow reproachful without meaning to be.
Texo nods and frowns "S...Should I go now, I can come back later...maybe?"
Blisa gives the Seer a dirty look as Ferdinand smiles a little. "You're fine, don't worry. Nightbreath is just....a little creepy, sometimes. But he's nice once you get to know him." She sets the paperweight back down on her desk. "I just...am sometimes....troubled by things I've had to live through. It has nothing to do with you, don't worry. You are welcome in Ferravale." She offers him a reassuring smile.
Nightbreath stiffens indignantly. "/Creepy?/--" He shuts up quickly, not wanting to make the Chieftainess look foolish. Or himself, for that matter. "Apologies," he says smoothly. "Merely being protective...again."
(And then life stole Texo away
RL is a jerk and needs to grow up
)
Blisa waves at the weasel. "However, I do need to get back to work. Nightbreath, could you please stay for a moment?" When the architect is gone, she turns to him. "I'm sorry, that was kind of disrespectful. True, yes, but not kind. I apologize." She starts straightening the papers on her desk. "Now, what did you want to talk to me about?" Hank closes the door as Ferdinand goes back to his quilt.
Nightbreath nods slowly. "Apology accepted, little one. I just wanted to see how you were coping with managing the village...however, now I've seen, so...what do _you_ want to talk about?" he laughs. He stays for quite some time.
Blisa smiles a little. "Well, I had an idea...." and then she explains her idea for some new laws....

Thanks for reading!
SCENE: Redwall Abbey: Open Ground
FRIENDS: Leon the Master Healer of the Abbey, a male mouse. DoraRose, Leon's wife.
LOG:
Leon steps out of the infirm as he starts to walk across the open ground, today hasn't been a busy day at least
DoraRose has been off doing something weaponish. Dressed in her black tunic and leggings and boots, she has added her mottled green/brown cloak, green mittens, a brown scarf, and a green hat. She comes up to her husband and goes to give him a hug. "How's your day goin', love?"
Leon smiles as he gives her a hug as well, "It's been a good day and yesterday was good as well. The only issue today was someone fell on some ice and bruised their leg, but they are fine and nothing broken..."
DoraRose winces slightly. "Ouch, that must've hurt. I'm so glad that we all have you and your staff to take care of us." She bites her lip. "Nana is asking a lot of questions about the defenders group; I think she may be considering joining so she can give her book more attention." She doesn't want any of her family members joining because she doesn't trust Marek at /all/, but what can she do to stop that crotchety old mouse?
Leon nods "Well....I don't know a lot about them myself. I know Marek is the leader and that they may come to the feast. I know a hare that's in the group.....I guess it would be up to her if she joins or not, as a healer would be good for the group"
DoraRose goes to very gently pretend to punch him on the shoulder. "And you know me, although I mostly joined to keep an eye on Marek." She scowls and kicks at a clump of dead grass. "I heard that he's invited to the Feast. I'm planning on volunteering to be one of the guards making sure that he stays where he belongs." She has not forgiven him for everything he did, and she's not planning on doing so, either. This is one reason she could never join the Order. "I don't think he should be allowed to ever step foot in this place again, but I guess that's the way of the Order."
Leon listens, he then speaks "I...am unsure of how I feel, like I told Benar yesterday....Marek never did try and harm me, heck one time he helped me and I did help him once not too long ago" (Referencing this: http://forum.rwmuck.org/viewtopic.php?id=25 )
DoraRose arches an eyebrow. Fortunately for basically everyone, she was asleep when Leon helped Marek, or else she'd be throwing a hissy fit. Shaking her head, she smiles and goes to rest a paw on her husband's shoulder. "I trust you to make the best decision, even if I don't agree with you at first." A passing guard hails her, and she waves back at him. "Some of the guards seem to be intimidated by me..." she says in a puzzled manner. Because she kind of has no idea how intimidating she can actually be.
Leon nods " I am a healer and...well he was injured, not badly." He sighs as he does remember, "I will even help Ferravale beasts or any beast on the road"
DoraRose turns back to her husband, smiling. "You always do what's right. I believe in you. I'm the one who seems to always hold grudges." Crossing her arms, she looks out across the Abbey grounds. "It's just.....the ways he hurt so many beasts....yet he's been such a kind friend to our Lily....I feel confused and angry so much of the time about him. I sometimes wish life was easier. More simple."
Leon nods "He is a friend to Lilymoore and has not ever harmed her, and life sometimes isn't simple." He frowns "Sometimes there is good days and sometimes bad....and sometimes you're woke up right before sunrise..." the last part sounds a little sad...
"...by a screaming baby? Remember those days? I miss when they were small..." Dora smiles wistfully, then sighs and looks at the ground. "Yeah.....life is awful some days....but maybe.....maybe if it weren't for the bad days, we wouldn't know when life was going great...." Another sigh. She seems a little sad, too.
Leon smiles faintly "I...remember...those days...no Oz had woke me up...not the best morning"
DoraRose looks back at him. "Oh? Do you need to talk about it?" Open communication is one of the keys to a great marriage, don't you know.
Leon sighs "It was when Zee died...course I didn't know that right off...Oz had just knocked and said my name a couple times...and when I got to the door he didn't say anything right away he was just crying, I was told by Sister Ginny what had happen."
DoraRose goes to gently hold her husband's paw. "I'm sorry. Yeah, I found Xander out in the woods; I wish I had been able to talk with Zee one last time." So many sad things in life....
Leon nods "Guess Oz was there when Zee died...let's go for a walk, might help both of us feel better"
Dora agrees. A walk sounds very good to her, especially since she'd be with her husband and best friend.

SCENE: Halyard docks
FRIENDS: Felicity, a female hare. Zinnia, a female badger. Takeo, a male badger. Random spoofs.
LOG:
Zinnia had been quiet most of the past couple days and now they were getting ready to leave. She leaned over the edge of the railing and watched the crowds, also on the ship was a couple tall sea otters who had come along, making sure all things were ready to go and head down the river moss.
Takeo talked with a ermine that was all white in color and then walked to Zinnia "Well we head off soon dear, a short visit and back home. How are you feeling by the way?" He sounded concerned.
Felicity is on duty and volunteered to check on the docks on her way back to the Mountain. She looks tired as she walks down the dock, smiling at the (few) beasts here who know her. Most of the vermin just glare at her because of her uniform. She doesn't feel like dealing with that today. Maybe if she acts respectfully, they'll come to understand that not all Long Patrol members are all only-good-vermin-is-a-dead-one. At least, she hopes so. She comes up to the badgers' ship, but she hasn't spotted them yet.
Zinnia smiles a little "Yeah I am fine..." Well not totally, she sees Felicity and smiles "Hello Private Felicity!" She smiles a little better and goes to greet her, not leaving just yet after all.
Takeo nods and watches her head over to her friend, he speaks to the ermine "Trip time Barttholmew?" The reply is thought out " A week....maybe couple days rest so week and a half sir" A nod is given "Good"
Felicity looks up, surprised to be greeted by name here, of all places. "Why, Missus Zinnia!" She's obviously been practicing that so she doesn't call the badger Miss, as in unmarried. "'Ow are you t'day? I say, you lot aren't leavin' already, are you? I was 'opin' we could 'ang out for a while on my days off." She says this in a friendly sort of way, trying to communicate that she'll be okay if the badger really is leaving.
Zinnia nods "I am heading off yes but I will be back this way to head home" She sighs "I am glad we are still friends, I am just unsure if...anyone else still sees me as friend or even family"
Felicity gives the badger a crooked smile. "O'course we're still friends! Why on Earth wouldn't we be? Why on Earth would anybeast not want to be your friend? You're so darling and nice. What makes you think that beasts wouldn't want you as their friend?"
Zinnia shrugs, "Just...Xander seems to, well he refused to talk to me and left so quickly that it worried me" She frowns "I know he isn't totally alone, but still...what if Uncle Oz is upset with me as well or other abbey beasts, I been gone a while, and didn't leave them much of a note and Aira was supposed to deliver a couple letters and a log book of mine"
Felicity listens, serious and empathetic. "Well, I don't know Aira, but you do, so you know 'ow trustworthy she is. And I don't think they'll all 'ate you that much. A few might, but I'm sure DoraRose won't, same with many othahs, and just a few friends can make the rejection from anothah few less painful.....at least I think so," she adds in a mumble. "I don't think they'll 'ate you, 'oney," she repeats gently.
Zinnia seems unsure "Why does Xander then? He says I abandoned him and I didn't....I looked for him, and even almost died doing it and I most likely would of but someone found me and healed me" She smiles a little now, just a little.
Felicity looks at the ground and runs her toes on her right foot back and forth on a crack in the dock. "....when a beast ya love dies, like I 'eard Zee did, it can mess with a beast." She is obviously troubled as she remembers some bad memories. "My Mum and Dad and oldah brothah were all murdered by searats when I had just barely joined th'Patrol. I was barely old enough t'join, but I suddenly 'ad not only those duties but the responsibility of takin' care of m'newborn sistah on top o' all that. It.....that kind o'loss and sudden change can do much damage to a beast, damage that outsiders don't always see." She finally looks up at the badger, her pain evident in her facial expression. "I fear that Jedrick, the monstah who had Xandah enslaved and whom we rescued 'im from.....I fear that 'e tortured your son, although I don't know for sure. And then when you weren't there when we got 'im back to Redwall....with Zee's death on top o'that...." she shakes her head and looks back down at the crack in the wood she's still rubbing with her foot. "It can do a lot of damage to a beast.....damage an outsidah may not be able to see."
Zinnia frowns "Should I just....leave him be then?" She sighs as she feels so lost herself right now "I know I felt.....not myself when papa died and...well I had help to get better again and I am sad I wasn't there when Uncle Zee died...Xander mentioned Uncle Oz....was there with him at least...with Uncle Zee so that's good in a way"
Felicity bites her lip. "I 'onestly don't know. I think.....I think you should be there for 'im as much as y'can. 'E may be feelin' that you've tried to replace 'im with anothah family. I don't know what would 'elp 'im, but I'm confident that 'e probably feels very lonely and sad and maybe scared right now. 'E needs 'is Mum, but I don't know 'ow to 'elp 'im understand that you're there for 'im. I'm sorry."
Zinnia sighs, she looks up as a sea gull lands beside her "Aira....hey" She looks to the hare "I can try, he can't be more than a day or half day ahead of me" If allowed she will hug the hare before she goes back to the boat and it starts to head off as the badger waves
Felicity accepts the hug gratefully, then waves as the badger heads off. When the ship is safely away from the dock, she turns and heads home. She needs some time with her Uncle Flint and sister Julia....

Scene: Halyard tavern
Happens, like, an hour after this log: http://forum.rwmuck.org/viewtopic.php?id=58 and this log is that one's part 2: http://forum.rwmuck.org/viewtopic.php?id=61
Characters: Zinnia, a female badger; Takeo, a male badger; Aira, female gull. Felicity, a female hare. Patch, a male rat. Flint, a male hare. Spoofed bar peoples.
LOG:
The tavern is not too busy as its a little after lunch and some have left. But at a booth in the back is a tall badger and some other beast who has a hood up and she is speaking "He hates me now...." The tall badger sighs "Dear, he doesn't...it's just a lot going on maybe, the important thing is he is clearly not a captive now, though am curious of his choice of friends"
Felicity has been searching for clues as to who stole part of Rioko's treasure. So far, no luck. She comes into the Halyard tavern and pulls the hood of her cloak back. She walks over to the bar and orders some hot tea. It's cold outside! She doesn't notice the badger yet.
The tall badger glances over and pats the cloaked beast with him on the shoulder "Let me get you something to drink..." He walks over to the bar and smiles as he shows some coins "An ale for me and....hmmms...yes Tea is good for my mate...it's just normal tea right?" The ferret nods and goes to get the drinks.
Felicity turns and smiles at the badger. "Oh, 'ello, there. Aye, the tea is normal; I don't drink alchohol when I'm on duty," she points to the Long Patrol insignia on her belt buckle. She actually doesn't drink booze at all, but that's another issue. "My name's Felicity. I say, you're a bit new 'ere, aren't you? I don't believe I've seen you before." She is being friendly and kind right now.
The badger smiles and bows "Sir Takeo...no I am not from here, my mate is though and the tea is for her....she is with dibbun" He walks back over and hands her the tea as she nods her thanks "Thanks..." She sips the tea slowly and sighs as she looks to see whom he was speaking to and blinks, she knows the hare maid.
Felicity smiles gratefully when she gets her tea. Paying for it, she picks it up and blows on it to cool it off enough. As the steam envelops her face, she turns and says, "Oh, do you lot need 'elp, Sir?" She's not sure who is under the cloak just yet, so she doesn't know that she's been recognized.
The cloaked figure shakes her head "You...probably can't help Felicity.." A sea gull comes in and salutes "Sir...my Lady...no sign of him I am sorry I did look" Takeo sighs "Thanks Aira...it's ok"
Felicity's ears perk up at the voice. She pads over to the table the little group is at. "I say, do I know you?" She knows that voice, right? As the gull makes its report, she listens, then adds, "Who're you lookin' for, wot? Per'aps I can 'elp y'look; as a Long Patrolah, I'm caled to assist and defend the weak, especially badgahs." She refrains from winking; this does not seem like the best time for lighthearted jokes.
"Xander is here...somewhere" She says as she takes off her hood, the look is a bit different but it's her, she no longer has her Sister robes. The taller badger rests a paw on her shoulder "Zinnia...he will be found, I am sure he is ok he was just...upset" He sighs "Maybe it was my fault"
Felicity starts, spilling tea all over her paws. Making tiny pain-filled (and surprised) sounds, she hurriedly sets her tea down and waves her paws in the air, accidentally flicking drops of tea everywhere. "Miss Zinnia! Wot're ya doin' 'ere? Wait, this is your mate?? When did you get married? Whu.....I don't understand. I know y'weren't at Redwall when I 'elped get Xandah back there safely, but....." The haremaid is obviously very confused. "And why would Xandah be back 'ere in 'Alyard? It was only a few months ago that we got 'im safely back to the Abbey."
Zinnia smiles and hugs Felicity "I...don't know, he didn't say and thank you for helping him and...yeah I got married and...even with dibbuns, due in a couple months...or so." The tall badger smiles "Takeo saved my life when I was lost, I was looking for Xander and...well long story. I got a letter from Uncle Zee that...well anyways I was going to see him...." She frowns, its clear the letter wasn't good news, course she has no clue he has already died.
Patch walks into the tavern, he glances around and soon sees the badgers and starts to walk over to them.
Flint followed the rat, just as he said he would and goes to grab him on the shoulder "Whao thar..Patch was it? I got some questions for ya starting with wot happen earlier in the tavern ?"
Felicity gets hugged as she stutters a little, trying to comprehend what the badger maid.....well, she's not a maid anymore now that's she's married. Well, Lissie is trying to understand what the badger is saying. "But.....um...." Shaking her head, she scratches her ear. "Well, last I saw, Zee was just fine, but that was a few months ago." She gets distracted by her uncle and the rat entering. "Oh, bothah.....what now?" She asks nobody in particular.
Zinnia sighs, "Its...hard to explain I guess I left the abbey while Xander was missing," She looks up at Flint and the rat, "You...you were with Xander"
Patch errks and shoves the hare's paw away "Hey I got to...and....well I didn't do anything, he was upset cause of the badgers" He points over at the badgers.
Flint looks over at where the rat points and blinks "Sister Zinnia?" And...well he has no clue whom the other badger is and he waves to his niece.
Felicity blinks then waves her paws in the air. "Okay, y'know what? Everybeast please sit down. Including you, please." She's just saying the please to be polite as she points at Patch. "Why is Xandah 'ere in 'Alyard? And who are you, anyway?" She's a little suspicious, seeing how Xander has been enslaved before, but for now she's just trying to get answers. If the rat doesn't have nefarious reasons for being with the young badger, then it's all good (sort of).
Patch seems glad when the other hare walks off, what ever the hare needed to do the rat is glad of....sometimes busy hares are good as that Corporal and what ever other hare went...good! He looks to the remaining hare "I am Patch...and tagged along with stripy...see to get a chest or clue or something his Uncle had for him...find a sword or something, I don't know and since old stripes is dead ...not like the kid had someone to go with him....alone in this place...yeah not so good"
Zinnia listens as the rat speaks, "What Uncle.....?" She asks a little worried, and she frowns more "Uncle Zee? ...D...Died?" And now she is crying, just great.
Felicity purses her lips. "Wait, do y'mean Zee? Y'know, it'd be very 'elpful if you'd stop using these....nicknames for a moment." Or forever, but she refrains from mentioning that. "But why would 'e send Xandah all the way out 'ere to find a sword?" Nobody understand the old badger, y'all. Well, almost nobody.
~*END*~
And then life happened and we had to cut the RP short
I hope you enjoyed it, anyway. Thanks for reading!
Will Zinnia and Xander be reconciled? Or will they never become a family again? Stay tuned for later logs to find out!
Scene: Cavern Hole in Redwall Abbey
Characters: LilyMoore, a female mouse. Zarok the Smooth, a (good) monitor lizard. A spoofed robin.
LOG:
LilyMoore is sitting by the fire of Cavern Hole, smiling slightly as she works on some mending for the Infirmary. These blankets need to be rehemmed. Swinging her legs, she listens as a little robin chitters at her, singing a sweet little song. That's probably why she's smiling.
Zarok trots into the Cavern Hole and curls up next to his cousin, enjoying the warmth of the flames--a stark contrast to the (for him) deadly cold of the outside. He grumbles something good-naturedly to himself and waves a silent hello to Lily.
LilyMoore looks up as the robin chirrups in alarm and flutters up onto the fireplace mantle from the arm of the mousemaid's chair. "Oh, hi, Zarok. How are you...other than needing warmth?" She makes sure to not stab anybody with the needle. Her stitches are small and neat, showing great skill; she's had a lot of practice.
Zarok ducks his head apologetically to the robin. "I'z good," he says contently. He glances at the sewing work that's going on and rumbles his approval. "Lookssss good, Lil." He inches a bit closer to the fire, eyes glazing over slightly in relaxation.
"Oh, thanks. I've, uh, had lots of practice." Lily refrains from mentioning that her mother and great-grandmother used it to punish her when she was bad. So, yeah, she's had a LOT of practice, indeed. "It must be tough, having no fur. Blisa says that Basilisk hibernates most of the Winter." She's trying to empathize with the lizard...and talk to someone. Sewing is a tad boring when you have nothing to listen to.
"Ehhh," Zarok shrugs. "Issss chilly, but at least I can get clean eazier. I tried hibernating once." In a mock-ominous voice, he whispers, "It wassss awful."
LilyMoore giggles. "I think it sounds boring. What even are you supposed to do?" Not stab yourself with needles, obviously. But the mousemaid stabs herself with the needle anyway. "Yowchie!" Fortunately, it doesn't start to bleed. Dropping the whole tangle of blanket, thread, and needle into her lap, the mouse sucks on her injured finger.
Zarok looks sympathetic for a lizard. "You okies?" His tongue flicks out, the lack of blood-scent confirming that Lily's finger isn't bleeding. "I think ya jusssst zleep the whole time. I get bored."
LilyMoore takes her finger out of her mouth. "Yeah, I'm okay. It just hurts. Man, I hate it when I do that...." She picks up her work and starts sewing again. "Wow, that's a lot of sleep. It reminds me of a story about a princess that was cursed, and slept in tower for 100 years until her true love found her and kissed her, which woke her up. I bet she never had to sleep again."
"ssss..." Zarok's tongue rattles out and in again as he thinks that one over. "100 yearssss...long time. Wait a sssec." He holds up a claw. "If that wassss supposed t'be her true love, why were they born a century apart? Who thought that wasss a good idea?!" He seems confused.
LilyMoore shrugs. "I don't know. He had to fight a dragon to save her, and he hadn't planned on kissing her until he saw just how beautiful she was. Then he couldn't help it. So maybe he was her true love because he was willing to die to save her." Another shrug. Who is she to question Fairy Tales?
Zarok nods slowly. "Where'd you hear th'sssstory?" He still doesn't seem satisfied with Lily's answer, completely, but he lets it slide. "Dragonsss?" he asks eagerly. "What'd it look like?"
"I read it in a book from the library. I liked it. It had a couple of other stories in it, too." Lily ties off the thread and puts the needle where it goes so she can safely fold the blanket. "The dragon was actually the witch who cursed the princess. She changed herself into a dragon. She was as big as the Abbey, and looked kinda like a lizard with huge, bat-like wings. And she could breathe fire!" The mousemaid doesn't really seem that scared; more excited than anything."
Zarok is entranced, his face lighting up. "My tribe used to say dragonsss were real. That they exisssted at the ends of the earth," he explains. "Maybe there'sss truth inssside that story sssomewhere."
LilyMoore looks at the lizard, excited. I mean, what girl doesn't hope somewhere deep within her that Fairy Tales and Princess Stories are true? "Wow....maybe they live in those.....fire mountains, like Salamandastron used to be!" It makes sense that something that can BREATHE FIRE would live inside a volcano, right? Right.
"Perhapssss," Zarok agrees. His eyes are shining brightly. "We could asssk Dorroze. She's been to Salamandassstron." Saying the name makes him think of something else: "Sssalamanders were fire lizards in legend. Sssalamanda-stron! That'sss where it got itss name."
LilyMoore has finished folding that blanket, and she smiles and claps her paws. "Oh my goodness, you're right! Zarok, you're a genius!" She goes to hug him, then stuffs the blanket and sewing supplies in the basket. Picking it up, she goes to grab the lizard's paw (claws? thingy) and says, "Let's go ask Momma right now! She's helping in the kitchen today. C'mon!"
Zarok returns the hug excitedly, smiling bashfully at being called a 'genius'. He yelps, but allows himself to be pulled along, trotting easily to keep up with his cousin.

Scene: Redwall Abbey Open Ground
Characters: Oz the male badger. LilyMoore the female mouse. Various spoofed Dibbuns and Order members....
LOG:
Oz was sitting on a chair that was brought out, he was with the dibbuns outside today and was slightly distracted, but only slightly. Also out was of course Sister Ginny to help with the dibbuns.
LilyMoore is helping with the Dibbuns, too, in the hopes that the members of the nefarious DAB don't do anything ridiculous. Most of the little ones ares being obedient and polite, building forts and snowbeasts. A few, however, are huddling around the squirrelbabe, muttering and drawing things in the snow. The gosling, Grace, waddles over to the badger and honks, "Papa Ozzie, Papa Ozzie!" She is wearing a sweater, a scarf, and a little hat, as are all the Dibbuns, and she has tied her blankie on like a cloak.
Oz seems to have his mind on something, then the dibbun speaks and he nods "What is it...sorry I was distracted, not been the best week, what is it that is needed?"
LilyMoore heads over to the huddled group of Dibbuns as Grace smiles. "I needa hugsie!" She then whispers, "Da DABers sent me over heres to distwact you, but don't tell 'em I tol' you, okays???" As the mousemaid gets close, the group of Dibbuns scatter, running in different directions, squeaking and squealing. Lily stares at the place where their drawing was. They messed it up on purpose. "Uh, Sister Ginny......"
Oz frowns, as if he wasn't distracted enough. He stands slowly and about falls on some ice, "Distract me huh? And why would they do that may I ask?" He sighs, maybe a couple days off was a bad idea.
"So they can do a snowball fight," Grace whispers innocently. Suddenly, the Dibbuns who ran away come charging back, hats off their heads and full of snowballs! Some of them even found sticks! "BAFFS NEVAH, PWAY FOWEVAH!!!!" Comes their dreaded warcry as snowballs come flying through the air at the other Dibbuns and the adults!! LilyMoore hollers as she gets smacked with a snowball in the face! Some Dibbuns start wailing, but most just gather up snow, for it into balls, and chuck back! Grace hides under Oz's chair. Discrepancy is the better part of valor, right? Right.
Oz frowns, "Well...a snowball fight, least it's not..." And a snowball hits him in the back, he clears his throat. A dibbun usually staying close to Oz, Juliana eeps softly and goes to hide in the bell tower, she gets hit with a snowball to the side and falls onto a snowbeast shaped like a mouse, gets back up and is soon in the bell tower peeking out at the others.
"Hey, stop that! You could h--oof!" LilyMoore trips over a snowmole and tumbles into a heap as she gets a snowball in the small of her back. The Dibbuns are running around like crazy, throwing snowballs willy-nilly, not really taking sides or aiming, even. Although a couple do seem to be aiming entirely at the adults. A couple Dibbuns follow Juliana and hide with her; it's scary out there! Grace waddles after them, honking in dismay as snowballs fly all around her. Suddenly, Squirrelbabe the DAB leader goes to hit Sister Ginny with a stick. Bad baby!
Sister Ginny places her paws on her hips and goes to grab the stick "Now, we will have NONE of that young lady, hitting with sticks is bad, perhaps no dessert tonight." Meanwhile Oz bends down to make a snowball, one snowball flies over top of him as he stands and listens for when one is near and chuckles a little throwing a snowball.
LilyMoore stands and starts doing tug-of-war with another Dibbun who was hitting her with a stick. "Leggo, y'little villian!" The Dibbun, a little male mole, starts hollering about his swordsie and how Lily was the one who needed to leggo. The Dibbun that Oz throws his snowball at, a baby mouse, gasps, then giggles with joy that the Badger father has joined in their game. Grace has successfully made it to the Belltower without getting hit with a stick and with only a few snowballs making contact. Squirrelbabe is much faster and nimbler than sister Ginny, and she darts around, giggling wickedly as she continues to hit at and poke at the Order member...
Oz smiles as he throws another snowball, well he makes one first and frowns as he hears Sister Ginny yell out. The Sister takes a deep breath and tries again to grab the stick "Enough already this is rude!"
"Yo face is wude!" Squirrelbabe hollers defiantly, then she starts screaming like a very angry banshee when he stick gets grabbed. "LEGGO O' MY SWORDSIE!!!! YOU BAD GWON-UP!!!!" The other DABers starts hitting each other's sticks, pretending to fight. A mole gets smacked with the badger's snowball and giggles, then runs away crying from a DAB member who hit him with a stick. LilyMoore gets the stick away and breaks it into many little pieces, which makes the Dibbun she took it from roll around on the ground having a tantrum. Most of the Dibbuns are still being nice and only throwing snowballs. A couple go to hug Oz because of the stick-wielders causing anxiety, but other than that (and the ones hiding in the belltower), most of the Dibbuns seem to be having fun.
Oz frowns" Who ever has sticks had best put them down or they will have an early bedtime with no dessert or story" He says this calmly as a snowball hits his side and he makes another one, but waits to throw it.
Most of the Dibbuns gasp and throw their sticks to the ground at the treat of no dessert and no story, but about 6 of the die-hard DAB members try to hide behind LilyMoore. "Agh, no, I'm not going to save you from this!" The mousemaid runs and scrambles into the badger's chair. The stick-weilding miscreants squeak and run towards the orchards. Squirrelbabe follows them, shouts threats and completely made up words that may supposed to be profanity at the adults. It's mostly just jibberish, though, so is she earning a mouthwashing?
Oz drops the snowball he has and takes a deep breath, Sister Ginny on the other paw is going after the squirrel "Get back here right now young lady!" Oz speaks "Well perhaps we should go inside now and warm up"
LilyMoore nods. "That's a good idea! Maybe us good kids can have some warm tea and scones or something." The remaining Dibbuns cheer as Lily goes to get the ones hiding in the belltower. Squirrelbabe, meanwhile, clambers up a tree and chitters at the Order Sister, going on a merry dance through the treetops on the orchard. She's not going to get caught for a while...
Oz smiles "I am sure Friar Lacota can offer some good scones, let us go see and maybe some nice mint tea or cordial"
LilyMoore steps into the belltower. Grace and the other Dibbuns run to her when she announces loudly and clearly that they're going inside now. She makes sure to move her lips well so Juliana can read them if she's still in here. The Dibbuns who stayed outside with Oz gather around him, chattering at him excitedly and innocently. The ones who had sticks but dropped them when he said to go to hug him, mumbling honest apologies.
Oz accepts the hugs and the apologies and chuckles. Juliana now goes to Oz and stays close to him as the badger smiles "Alright my dibbuns let's have that snack" He goes to led them inside.
LilyMoore helps guide the Dibbuns inside. They all seem mostly happy and content, although some look sad and anxious about the snowball fight and hitting-with-sticks thing. Many of them run ahead, peeling off hats and scarves and sweaters as the get inside Great Hall...
Oz leads them into the great hall, he nods and points to the wash room as clean paws are good before a snack as he goes to see what scones are ready. Looks like blueberry and cherry scones with strawberry fizz and even some hot mint tea.
LilyMoore helps the Dibbuns wash their paws, as do a couple of Novices (one of who seems mildly terrified of the Dibbuns), then the whole group goes giggling and skipping to over in front of the fireplace. "We wanna 'tory!" a couple chorus out as they listen and have their seats. Squirrelbabe slips into the Hall and tries to mingle with the Dibbuns that are already in here. Lily is too busy arranging seating order to notice.
Oz has an idea how many dibbuns are in here and of course is told most of the dibbuns are in here and that a couple went to the dibbun dorms, the badger nods and hmms "A story? One about what?"
A chorus a different ideas sound out, but then most of the Dibbuns agree on one topic: "Da Shnow Badger!!" LilyMoore starts helping pass out warm tea and cordial while a couple Novices bring in sconces.
The Squirrelbabe stays silent, knowing that the badger will recognize her voice.
Oz frowns as the snow badger is mentioned "Well maybe not that one, it was...told" He sounds a little sad and then smiles faintly "Maybe one of Bella, she was a badger and once a long time ago I believe one of the first badger mothers here when the abbey was first built"
LilyMoore sits down and snuggles a couple of Dibbuns as they drink and eat. Squirrelbabe stays quiet as the other Dibbuns gasp and eagerly agree with the badger. That sounds like a good idea to them.
Oz smiles and then tells the story of Bella of Brockhall, of how she helped build the abbey and how she helped Martin the warrior, and she knew Sunflash as well, she was Sunflash's mother.
The Dibbuns listen attentively. As for Squirrelbabe and the other very disobedient Dibbuns? Well, they confess and justice is served. No dessert for them!
Maybe they'll remember next time and not hit people with sticks....

Thanks for reading!
(Hey! My first attempt at posting a log on here. Let's see how it goes....)
SCENE: Halyard Tavern
CHARACTERS: Felicity 'Lissie', a female hare. Rioko 'Rio', a vixen. A male monitor lizard, bent upon revenge.
THE ROLE PLAY:
Oh it felt good to finally be back. Home, HOME safe and sound in the tavern that she...quit so dramatically from months before. It didn't matter though, Rioko preferred the awkward stares from fellow vermin than spending another moment with woodlanders. And at least here she can have a nice bowl of wood pigeon soup. The pudgy grey fox sits quietly at the bar, sampling her meal quite content to finally be rid of her adventure eastward to Mossflower.
But woodlander species are so good at showing up like metaphorical bad pennies! Especially a certain haremaid: The one and only Felicity. Entering the tavern, the hare looks around from underneath the hood of her cloak, which is open just enough to show that she's being smart and not wearing her uniform (although her sword is hidden underneath her cloak). Spotting her quarry, the Long Patroler stalks over to the vixen and hisses in her ear, "You're a no-good dirty rotten perfidious marsh toad!"
The fox's tail poofs. She slides further along the bar, covering her soup protectively with her paws and hissing, "My soup. Go get your own cotton tail." Rioko's tsks, "Can't I have a moment with out some long ear fool interrupting me? Is this the thanks I get for being KIDNAPPED and FORCED to help you save that badger!"
"I don't want your bloody soup! It's probably got some poor innocent bird in it....which is why I'm here," Felicity adds, wagging her finger under the vixen's nose. "What on this beautiful /Earth/ possessed you to eat those monitor eggs?!" She hisses this under her breath as she follows the fox down the bar. "And you weren't kidnapped, you were blackmailed. There's a difference, old gel, wot!" Lissie doesn't argue the whole 'forced' part, though. She tries her best to be honest, usually.
The fox wags a finger back at the hare's nose. "Hey, ye can call me names, ye can even call me fat, but don't you ever tell me I'm old." She turns back to her soup, taking a large spoonful, "And don't knock bird soup until you try it floppy ears." She takes another spoonful, "And really? That's what your hear about? The bleedin' eggs? So what? A fox has got to do what a fox has got to do. It's instinct, would you rather I tried chowing down on Hares in the middle of the night? Besides, what's the harm. Those monitors are long gone..."
A monitor lizard just happens to cleaning a nearby table, and he stifles a hiss as the vixen speaks loudly enough for him to hear. Felicity rolls her eyes and goes to cuff one of the vixen's ears. "Oh, fer.....it's just a saying, stupid. And birds 'ave feelings, too, y'know. You live in a flippin' fishin' village!! You don't need bird; there's so much seafood 'ere you could lit'rally live off just that! Stop deflecting!" Grabbing at the vixen's ear, Lissie says, "I 'elped you save a flippin' *treasure*" (the word 'treasure' is whispered) "and you 'ave to go off and endanger us all??! You drive me absoballylutely BATTY!!! Up a freakin' WALL!!"
The fox pays no mind to the lizard. She is too full of rage! "Need? NEED? Who are you to dictate what a fox should eat? You don't need to eat veggies, you can just eat grass fer the rest of yer life!" The fox stands up, raising her voice, "What if I don't WANT to eat fish fer the rest of my life just cause some bunny is offended by it? What if I want MEAT?! Juicy, tender MEAT, and eggs. Yes, I didn't eat the eggs because I needed to, I ate the monitor eggs because they tasted DELICIOUS." The fox shakes a paw into the air as she starts the meat lovers' revolution, "Why should the long patrol tell us vermin what we should eat in the first place!?"
"BECAUSE IF Y'EAT THE WRONG BEAST, YOU'LL GET CHASED BY AN ANGRY MOB AND DRAWN AND QUARTERED!!!" Shout Felicity, upping the confrontation a notch. "Y'know what, I 'ope those monitors try to find you so I can save your tail and make you owe me -- again!!" Treasure, people. The monitor lizard busboy is watching this whole thing, as is everyone else. "Mayhaps I'm trying to protect you as well as the beast around you, y'nincompoop! And I'm no more a bunny than you are a puppy! Call me 'bunny' or 'cotton tail' again and I'll be obliged to call you a little puppydog!!! So there!" Lissie is now ignoring everyone except the vixen; she's a little mad. It's not been a good week.
Steam comes out of the foxes ears. "Puppydog?" It hasn't been a good week for the vixen as well. The long trip, the worry that her treasure has been stolen and having no way to protect it, and now this hare is calling her out for her meat eating ways?! It's too much for Rio to stand! "I'll show you puppydog!" The vixen pounces at Felicity, trying to bite her ear.
"Yah!" Lissie leaps out of the way, landing very ungracefully on the floor. Other beasts take this opportunity to starts punching each other, until the whole tavern is in a brawl. The monitor lizard busboy ducks behind the bar and disappears from sight. The haremaid scrambles up and tries to kick the vixen with her powerful hind legs. "Stoppit--OH, SHNAP!" The hare falls to the floor again as a chair literally goes flying through the air.
The vixen's eyes are wild with anger. "You long patrol saps have pushed me too far. First you had me imprisoned for being a fox, then ye lot stole my favorite weapon, pushed me around, call me names. I thought ye were different but yer just like the rest of them!" The fox let's out an oof as she is kicked in the stomach, landing against the bar and sending her own soup falling on top of her head. Soup pours down her fur as the bowl covers her eyes and ears.
"I didn't steal your weapon! Wait, your glaive got stol--" Felicity gets knocked over the head by another flying chair and collapses to the ground, unconscious. The monitor lizard suddenly appears in front of the vixen, a spear aimed toward her chest. "Hiss, you sssshould've lisssstened to haremaid, hssss, you kill my clan children, hsss, you die!!" And the haremaid can't come help. She is different from most of the other hares, but right now she can't help because she's been knocked out cold...
The fox lifts the bowl of soup up from on top of her head, "And another thing! I...eep!" She let's out a yipe. Her glaive was resting elsewhere, at the end of the bar, her replacement glaive that is. It wasn't as fancy as the original stolen months ago but it made due...except when it was out of reach. The fox begins scurrying away from the spear point while on her rump. "W-wait a moment! Wait! You, you don't want to really stab me right? This is all just a miss understanding!"
Felicity groans as she starts to come to. The monitor lizard stalks after the vixen, his spearpoint centered over the vixen's heart. "Hssss, will ssssstab you and use hide to line next nesssssst of eggssss! Murderer! Hssss, child-killer! Hssss, or maybe I take badfox home and let motherssssss kill and skin you, hsss?" He goes to grab the vixen's arm, as if debating about actually kidnapping her and taking her back to the clan so they can all take part in her killing....
Given the choice of a quick and slightly painful death now and a slow, horrible death later on, Rioko would gladly choose the one that gives her more time to escape. "But...you wouldn't want my hide, it's mangy and full of SOUP!" The fox take the bowl off her head and goes to swing it towards the monitor’s muzzle!
Felicity's eyes open groggily. "R....Rio....?" she moans. She's still out of comission. The monitor lizard roars as bowl and face collide, and he staggers back and lands on the haremaid, who gives an involuntary squeak of pain. "Hsssss, foxssss! I will kill you myssssssself and feed flessssh to gullsssss!!" He lunges up and charges at the vixen, trying to stab her in the chest!!
Rioko lets out a panicked yelp as she side steps the spear thrust, watching it glance by. "FELICITYYYYYY! I take back everything I said, HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP MEEEEEEEEE!" The fox backs up, her paws reaching for her glaive resting at the end of the counter.
Felicity groans again and groggily sits up. "Whu...oh my word!" Holding her head with one paw, the haremaid stumbles to her feet and attempts to draw her sword while trying to not fall over. Grunting, the monitor lizard ignores her and, after yanking the spearpoint out of the bartop, continues to try and impale the offending vixen.
The fox eeps, grabbing the glaive from behind her and using it to deflect the blow coming for her midsection. "They were just eggs! You lot can lay more!" She says, totally not helping the situation. "Leave me alone!" She spins the glaive before her before slashing at the lizard.
Felicity goes to grab the vixen's arm, managing to not fall over. "Let's get outta 'ere! We can argue more latah!" The monitor roars in rage and pounces at the vixen, spear forgotten as he aims to rip the fox apart!! The haremaid runs to the door and looks back to see if the fox is following. If she is, then Lissie will try to take her to the Infirmary; if she's not, well, then, the hare has no idea what she'll do. She's still a bit groggy.
The fox however doesn't run, she stands her ground for once in her life, and probably the last. "I'm DONE running." She growls in rage, head shaking about as she utters a warrior's cry, her eyes growing wide and crazy! She stabs forward with her glaive towards the monitor lizard's torso as he lunges at her!
Felicity sighs and puts a paw to her head. She feels woozy. Drawing her sword, she stumbles back to the main fight, taking the long, sneaky way around to behind the lizard. Said monitor lizard....wasn't expecting that. He gets stabbed in the belly....but he's not done yet! Mad with rage and vengeance, he manages to pull himself off the glaive and stumbles toward the vixen again, determined to take her to the Dark Forest with him!
This...this isn't Rioko. This can't be the same cowardly, gluttonous, scamp of a vixen who makes money in shell games. This vixen isn't turning to run, or cowering in a corner pleading for mercies. The glaive comes free, the narrow pole arm circling around her like a shield, making a humming sound as the blade dances through the air to keep the lizard at bay until she steps backward, pushing off the wall with her foot to bring her knee up to the lizard's oncoming jaw, her glaive held like a spear as it is thrust forward at the same time.
That......is so totally unexpected. Lissie can only stop and stare as the lizard gets kneed and stabbed in the chest. A gargling hiss escapes his mouth as, with his last bit of life, the monitor swipes at the vixen's chest, and then dies and weighs her glaive down obnoxiously. The haremaid shuffles forward, staring in awe at the fox. "'Oly potatah pancakes....what was that? Am I hallucinatin'? Wot...." She flops to the floor, holding her head as it pounds. She's on the verge of reverting back to a leveret because her head hurts and she wants to go to sleep.
The fox stands there amid the stares of other patrons. some recognize her as the bouncer here from way back when. Of course all they ever saw was the vixen sit in the back corner growing fat and plump on chips when she wasn't dancing with the intoxicated patrons. Now, fur on edge, growling and foaming at the mouth Rioko steps on to the defeated corpse of the monitor, tearing the glaive free and holding it above her head like a savage warrior. She let's loose a loud howl.
After a moment Rioko slowly calms herself down, fur returning to normal. "I...oh...ok then..." She shakes her head. "Ha! Showed him didn't I? Showed you all! None ya thought you had it in me. But I showed you! Ha...am...am I bleeding?" The fox clutches the trio of claw marks across her chest. "Oh well...poop." And she faints, collapsing backwards onto the bar floor.
Felicity stares at her fainted compatriot. "Oh, fer......'ey, if I'm not allowed to faint....neithah....neithah are....you.....wot...." and she, too, faints. Some sober beasts try to take them to the Infirmary....the slender hare is, naturally, easier than the fox.....
Some time later...
Some time later being the next day. Rioko wasn't one to wait around in infirms, nor was she really able to afford to stay in one. Early in the morning with bandages still wrapped around her chest and with out even waiting to put food in her belly Rio slips out through the infirm window, vanishing into the crowd.
But there was only one place she could go. Quite literally actually. Using her glaive as a walking stick Rioko hobbles along the sandy beaches of the west coast, heading northward, wincing occasionally at the wounds to her hide.
Felicity got some food. She feels a lot better now, actually, but the Healers insisted on bandaging her head. Killjoys. Eating while she jogs, the haremaid follows her frenemy's tracks. Cheese scones are actually not too bad cold, especially after being stuffed with more cheese, various salad greens, dried fruits, and then injected with some sort of dressing thing that can only be described as vinegary and fruity. She spots the vixen far ahead and finishes her last scone so the chubby fox won't steal her food, and then she breaks into a run...
Probably wise. The fox however seems determined on her destination. She growls on occasion, using her glaive as a walking stick. It's been ages since her legs carried her so far but she pays them no mind. Rio is a vixen on a mission, a mission that brings her finally to the start of all this trouble.
The smugglers cave.
It looks...just like Rio left it, neither paw prints or tracks leading to or from the cave. Still, the fox comes to a pauses, rocking herself on her feet, wanting to press forward but unable too.
Felicity comes up to the vixen and slides to a stop behind her. She stares at the cave for a while, then whispers, "What're we waitin' for, love, wot wot?"
Rioko jumps out of her skin. That's twice she was startled in two days, probably not good for the heart of a beast so out of shape. "What in the blazes are you even doing here?" She yells. Her bark though proves worse than her bite and her voice quiets down as she turns to rub her nose bridge, "Forget I asked. I should just learn to have the long patrol always there, looming over my shoulder like some...avenging cotton tailed wraith." Free paw on her hip Rioko supports her weight with her glaive. "And I'm going...when I feel ready."
She sighs, "Every day I was away all I wanted to do was get back here and bask in my riches. But...well..." Rio bites her lip, "What if they are no here no more? What if...what if someone made off with them? What if they're gone!? I..." The fox continues to rock back and forth. "I don't know if I can take that."
Felicity steps forward so she is level with the vixen. Letting the 'cotton tailed' remark slide, she shrugs. "Well, then....we can try to find the beat whot did it, and if we can't catch them, we can try to find you another stash of pirate treasure. And I think you can; just be brave, wot!" The haremaid strikes what she thinks is a dashing pose (but she's a hare, so of course she thinks it looks dashing), folding her ears back as she puts a Devil-may-care smile on her face. "You were brave, bold, daring yestahday, wot! You can do so again.....and again....and again! Don't let fear stop ya, love! You can do it!" Pep talk cum cheerleader. All she needs is pompoms....
The fox is quite clearly taken aback. She holds back tears, nodding her head. Unable to reply at the moment she takes a deep breath instead before moving forward. She pauses at the entrance to the cave. "Ok. Be brave, bold and daring. I can do this. And..." She turns to the hare, "What ever happens. Thanks. I...said some things yesterday that were...eh, mostly untrue but...thanks." And with that she steps inside...
Felicity smiles kindly. When her brain is working, she says some awesome stuff. Following the vixen, she pauses behind her. After listening, she nods. "Me, too. I'm awful sorry. Don't worry, all's forgiven. No 'ard feelin's. I still believe in you." Smile! She then, too, steps inside, and sees.....
The fox steps lightly into the cave. Slowly, as if anticipating that everything has been accosted by thieves. The cave itself actually...looks about the same. The fox had a chance to at least organize the room a bit better. Couldn't have her precious gold just laying about the floor getting dirty. The tapestries, clothing and other supplies look untouched, but worse for ware from sitting in a cave for over a month. No matter, it's the untouched and unopened chests of gold that fill Rioko with hope. "My babies!" She drops the glaive into the sand rushing for the nearest chest, "Oh how I missed you all, don't worry, Rioko is here now to take care of-" She opens the chest.
To her credit the fox doesn't scream. Her eyes widen, her tail poofs at the sight of an empty chest. She quickly turns to another chest, empty, another empty except with a single note at the bottom 'IOU' and then snark laughter scrawled upon the letter and even on the bottom of the chest.
Rioko begins to make an odd chittering sound. "kck kck kck." As if she were choking on something. The vixen then topples onto her side where her paws merely twitch in the air, an odd, disturbing smile on her face.
Felicity, for her credit, stifles all words. Talking wouldn't do good right now. Walking around a little frantically, the haremaid literally trips over a buried chest. Hurriedly digging the top loose, she opens it and is rewarded by gleaming coins and things. "Rio! Lookie, they didn't get all of it!" She scurries away, anticipating the vixen to be slightly crazy right now...
The fox...doesn't actually react so much as continue to lay there making odd noises and...foaming at the mouth. Even at the reveal of her hide away treasure still being here. The fox just continues to stare off into a wall, slowly curling into a ball and sucking her thumb
Yeah, she's be fine.

I volunteer DoraRose to join this group, although she will want to talk to Marek first. She still doesn't exactly trust him ![]()
