Elbio makes his way towards Halyard, he had checked on the base being fixed by the docks, it seemed to be going ok. He felt it would still be useful, if the village still wants it after all. He glances around quietly.   

The Docks are pretty much up and running, there are about 4 fishing ships in the middle of being built and the Long Patrol fort is being rebuilt too. Mayor Durang is standing on the docks talking quietly to a few other villagers but he raises a hand when he spots Elbio.   

Elbio walks over and gives a nod "Hallo Mayor, tis been a while.."He frowns "Sorry I wasn't 'ere ta help, I didn't even know of all the trouble till shortly before I came here, and..well been more updated since I arrived."
   
Durang smiles, "It  is fine Elbio, how is Redwall? What brings you back to the shore so soon?"
   
Elbio replies "Redwall is doing good. Well as I said got news of some trouble..but also news that's missing dibbun was at the mountain, and that was further confirmed by a hare maid we met on the way here, and that the horde that was here, was defeated."He adds "Me, Mother Krisha and Caleb are in the area a few days, to take home Oz."   

Durang nods and smiles, "Aye  I heard a badger dibbun was rescued, excellent news! So if you are heading back to Mossflower can you do me a favour and escort a friend of mine to Ferravale? I'm loath to see him leave but it's not safe for him here now. All the bloody pirates and worked out who he is after he helped us escape the horde."   

Elbio nods "I can do that, we are likely headed back soon. I can even meet him by the path to the village when we are to head off. Is he gonna need help carrying anything or..likely not taking much?"   

Durang smiles, "He isn't talking much, come I'll introduce you," He leads the way along the dock to where a brown rat is instructing some of the ship's rights.   

Elbio follows the Mayor and gets a better look at the docks area, it's been some time since he been to the docks.   

Orel looks up as the hare walks over and stands up, raising a hand in greeting, "Hello there... you must be Elbio, Durang said you might be heading to Mossflower?"   
Elbio nods "Yes, escorting the Badger Mother and her sons Caleb and Oz back to the abbey. Here in less than a week."   
Orel says, "Well if you do not mind an extra body walking along with you, I could do with reaching Ferravale."

Elbio smiles "Be glad ta have you along Orel. The chieftain of Ferravale is Blisa, she can find you a home thar. And maybe you can visit Redwall even."   

Orel says, "I have heard of her, I am mostly cashing in my belongings here, earning coin with the ship building so I can start afresh far from the sea."
   
Elbio nods "I am sure you'll find a good job in Ferravale, trust me a lot less rough than Halyard is, then Halyard is a sea port."   
Orel says, "I may just buy a house and relax.... and enjoy my life without a job for a bit. I will speak to this chieftain and see."

Elbio nods "Sounds good to me, its about a 3 week trip."He smiles"Redwall is to have an autumn feast if your interested in going, up to you off course"   

Orel says, "Well... I am not usually one for lots of creatures or feasts and the like, but I will think about it"
   
Elbio nods"As said up to you, Ferravale has less beasts than Halyard..little smaller too. They have a tavern, a blacksmith, they even have a small mill on the river, also a group called Mossflower Defenders are in Halyard."   

Orel says, "Well I like taverns but I am not a blacksmith I know carpentry a bit but that's from working on a ship," He smiled, "But for now I should go and finish working on these new fishing ships"

Elbio nods and gives a wave"Then I shall return in a few days, see you then"

Elbio has been back a couple days, he took a short look at Halyard and then came here with a couple others, the mouse Caleb and the Badger Mother of Redwall. He now seems to finally set down for a slightly early lunch.
     
Also there at an early time is Terrence, eating alone as is his habit. Upon seeing the Redwall hare, though, he stands up with a slight wave. "Lieutenant."     
     
Cole walks in,stops to give a salute and soon sits down.He is still doing assorted chores, some he seriously dislikes but he does them so he doesnt get into more trouble.     
     
Elbio nods"Terrence...yes I am here a few days,then will head back to the abbey. Got word the badger cub Oz was here.And so me, Badger Mother Krisha and Caleb have come to pick him up, I will also try and catch up on news and see how..how Halyard is"     
     
"I haven't given much thought to Halyard's state, to be frank." Terrence replies with a slight grimace. One can see his left forearm is still bandaged as the master sergeant rubs the back of his neck. "Can't imagine it's pretty aftah the vermin were done with it. You missed some rathah heavy fighting, as I'm sure you've heard- don't know if that makes you lucky o'h not though." He adds with a small smile. Cole doesn't so much as get a glance - the non-commissioned officer's ire with the two bickering brothers has yet to boil away.     
Cole starts to reply and then thinks better of it, it's likely better to just eat his lunch quietly and just not speak at all.     
     
Elbio nods"I shall, look into to it. And yes I heard some before I came"He doesn't say by who at the moment but what he was told got confirmed anyways and he is still learning some more things he wasn't told since...well the one who told him didnt know everything."I also heard that Major Varus is missing,any clues yet on where he is?"     
     
"Aye," Nodding, Terrence sits back down, offering the seat across for him if Elbio wants it. "Currently lieutenant Velm and sergeant Rosinbloom are out with half the company - including Cole's brother - searching for him. Not heard back from them fo'h a few days though, not since you and the Redwall beasts came here. As fo'h the majoh," He shakes his head, "We thought he was dead, in the attack on Halyard. He stayed behind with anothah beast, a squirrel I think, so the remaining hares and villagehs could get out in time. Aftah that, he popped up to kill the big cat chief in the last fight, and went poof aftah. I don't /quite/ remembah as I was a bit out of sorts at the time."     
     
Cole decides to speak "The major has no clue who he even is."He is unsure he is unsure if an update was good or not and just sips his drink slowly.     
     
Elbio looks over at Cole and raises an eyebrow then looks at the Sergeant "Is that true...and Varus took on the cat,and won?" He blinks and then "Wow...he was hero of the day for sure.I wonder where...maybe Halyard?Unless he is elsewhere..."     
     
Terrence shrugs. "They're looking to the east of Halyard, and we know he didn't go into the swamps down south. I doubt even in his state of mind he'd lingeh in the village - they vermin used it as thei'h base, and I doubt if even most of the villagehs'll go back to that place. As fo'h being a hero, certainly, though killing that cat wasn't much to boost of I'd say. From what I can tell, it was the first time the vermin had to face a creature on equal ground without his minions to back him up - and he lost. No, the majoh's real heroism was in Halyard. Faced off against hundreds of them to by us time..."     
     
Elbio nods "I have heard...stories of some of the fights he had, how that cat destroyed an otter holt, how he took out a small village...as for Halyard, I am sure it can recover, its a sea port and is important."He frowns "The wildcat did fight a badger, supposedly two..I only know of the one and he was a good fighter, even with one of his legs messed up. I have no clue who the other badger was..some badger near a village along the river"   
     
"I have no doubt in my mind he eithah stabbed the poo'h creatures in the back o'h had many of his vermin wound them before he got a final blow in." Terrence leans back. "He left few survivohs, as fa'h as I can tell, and I won't be quick to trust anything the vermin spread about about the cat. But no mattah - he's dead and gone, and so is his mean strength, that horde of his."     
     
Elbio nods"Its good the horde is dead and gone, and that cat too."He sighs" Likely if I was here, probably wouldn't of helped much, maybe some.Likely would of been at the base my guess."He then nods" The patrol will recover from this, they have recovered from worse, and Halyard will recover too, maybe less beasts for a while but that's ok, thats fine and yes we should still have a base by the docks to help the village and kept an eye out for trouble."     
"I'm not too keen on rebuilding the place myself," The master sergeant mutters into a up, "Yet we'll certainly be told to. Halyard though - that town was already half of what it once was, and I don't think this helped that numbah out, wot." He sets the cup down. "As fo'h you, though, lieutenant Elbio, I think you would've helped. Fo'h a moment there I was the only the only active commanding officeh besides the badger-lord and general, as sergeant Felicity was missing in action aftah Halyard and injured by teh time she made it back, Velm was captured fo'h a hot second, and my corporal Greenhill was killed..." Terrence trails off with a sigh, quiet for a moment. "We managed fine enough in the end, but I can safely say we missed you'h extra pair of paws."     
     
Elbio nods, he smiled "You were likely glad Sargeant Felicity was back I bet."He adds "Yeah...but I knew nothing of wot was going on 'ere and when I did..it was mostly over, then got news tis was maybe..4 weeks later I think."     
     
"Has it been that long?" Terrence's brows raise, though the comment about the sergeant goes unaddressed. "It's been awhile grant you, and I wouldn't have expected you to come running o'h somehow learn of what happened soonah, don't you worry. It's all done now, save fo'h the major out in which-knows where."     
Elbio looks at the sergeant curiously and nods"Yeah...true."He clears his throat "Anything else I need to know of?"     
     
"Not that I can report on, no." Terrence blinks. "Honestly since the siege broke and organizing the mission to retrieve the majah I've been out of touch, ran myself haggard. Private Dom went with the lieutenant and sergeant and he's doing well enough, so I'm sorry to say you'll miss him. Obviously you know the badgeh-cub Oz is alive and well, too."     
     
Elbio nods"Yes seen him. We will be taking him back to Redwall in a few days. I wonder wot his future will be like.."He shrugs as he is not too concerned really.``Maybe I can even help look for Major Varus some while I am here."     
     
"Perhaps, but they set out some time ago." Terrence replies with a shrug. "I'd suggest focusing on what you have to do now, and sticking with that. Don't bothah with something you're not required to do, not now at any rate."     
     
There is a loud chattering sound emanating from the hallway outside. It gets louder, and louder....then the doors bang open and the horde of leverets pours in, their minders struggling to keep them contained. Their energy is through the roof! Julia can be seen, bouncing around with her friends as the Caretakers manage to direct them all to a pair of tables near where Elbio and Terrence are sitting. Julia spots Terrence and tries to go say high, unaware of his and her sister's fight. An argument ensues when a leveret Caretaker makes her sit back down.     
     
Elbio nods,he then looks over at the leverets "Well...they have a lot of energy today"     
     
Krisha walks in shortly after the leverets, she is use to young ones having a lot of energy. She smiles at the young ones and goes to find a seat to sit down.   
     
Terrence glances over at the noise, waving to Julia - and relaxing slightly as the leverat is forced to sit down by the caretaker. "Indeed, lieutenant." He replies, leaning back in his seat.     
     
The Caretaker seems to win, and moves on to a pair of leverets who are hitting each other with spoons. Julia pouts in her chair...but only for a moment. Peeking around, she slips under the table and sneaks along.After a few minutes of sneaking, bobbing, and weaving, Julia suddenly pops up beside Terrence from underneath the table. "Hi!!" She goes to give him a biiiiiiig hug! A different Caretaker notices the empty seat and starts searching under the table.     
     
Elbio sees Julia beside Terrence and chuckles slightly."Seems you have company there sarg."     
     
Krisha gets herself something simple for lunch and sits down again, she briefly looks over at the hares but doesn't interrupt them, it could be important after all.     
     
"Seems I do, indeed." Terrence allows himself as laugh as he's hugged, returning a small pat on her back. "Though if I were leveret named Julia," He says at first as if he were speaking to Elbio before turning to the leveret, " I'd run back to the empty seat before the wonderful charetakahs see you're missing and make do the dishes at the cook's beck and call, eh? Though I shan't tattle you came ovah, and no'h will the lieutenant here I wageh."     
     
Julia grins up into Terrence's face, winking as she gets the hint. "You'he right, Julia really ought t'run back o'er thah. I just wanted t'say hi. Y'2 bettah not tattle, or she'll 'ave t'put wet sand an' crabs in y'beds, an' nobeast likes tha'." The leveret goes to give him another hug and slips away with all the sneaking she used to come over here, and she makes it back to under the table, in front of her seat, before she is caught. She really only gets told to sit in her chair like a normal person, instead of on the floor, because most of the other leverets are too busy being hooligans for the Caretakers to really care about someone not hitting people with forks.     
     
Elbio nods"I didn't see a young one come over here...nope"     
     
Krisha glances over at the young hare dibbuns as if debating on giving the caretaker some help.     
     
Terrence lets out a bark of laughter at both Julia's antics and Elbio's words - the first time he's really laughed in weeks - and stands upright away from the table. "Very well then, lieutenant, they're all behaving perfectly well, no?" He chuckles again, shaking his head. "But anyway - I'll take my leave of you now, it's about time I get back to work. Good luck!" With a wave to the hares (and badger) in the room, the master sergeant makes his escape before whatever doom the Salamandastron flavor of D.A.B. can start.     
     
The Caretakers could use some help! The better behaved leverets are kind of congregating at one end of one of the tables. The other leverets are yelling and jumping and just not listening. Julia has a thoughtful look on her face which would be making the adults nervous if they were paying attention to her. She looks about like Dochas does right before DAB shenanigans begin...     
     
Krisha frowns,she looks over at the levets, ok so far...they are...well...yeah being good right?     
     
Elbio is very unsure of that,he watches Terrence``Sargeant....get back..."He sighs and shakes his head, ok just eat your food,its fine.     
     
Julia starts whispering to the leverets beside her, and they nod. Julia ducks under the table and starts getting the attention of other leverets. Not all of them, but the ones she knows are kind of leaders. The better behaved leverets even get instructions. After a few minutes of relative quiet, the leverets all suddenly scatter, darting away from their tables and running away! The Caretakers scramble after them, but there's too many!     
     
Krisha starts to go help when she is called over by a hare at the door, well something came up that's important and.....your all alone Elbio..sorry     
     
Elbio looks up and is not worried at all, that is until the badger leaves and his ears droop as he looks over at the chaos and gulps a little.     
     
Most of the leverets are merely providing distractions as the quieter leverets that nobody really notices slip into the kitchen. Julia appears beside Elbio. "I 'ad t' 'ave 'em do /somethin'/ afore they started 'urtin' each othah," she explains, gesturing at all the leverets in the room running around like lunatics, screaming and shouting as they dodge both the caretakers and each other. Meanwhile, the leverets in the kitchen are wheeling lunch off the kitchen staff as they pretend to hide from the chaos.     
     
     
Elbio frowns and clears his throat.," You should all jolly well sit down now."     
     
Julia scowls. "Why? They gotta run 'round an' burn off energy afore they start stabbin' each othah wi' forks like they did tha' one time, wot!" The leverets in the kitchen smuggle their treats off to the Dibbun dormitories. A few leverets try hiding under a table, but that just gets them caught. A couple others run smack-bang into each other and plop down on the floor, wailing. Julia winces, then shouts, "Watch where y'goin'!"     
     
Elbio frowns." ummm...look someone may jolly well get hurt....see"     
     
Julia hesitates, taking Elbio's point into consideration. "But....they were gonna hurt each othah, anyway..." The snack- smuggling leverets have returned, and they hide en masse under a table, not wanting to partake in the higher-energy shenanigans the other leverets are participating in. Some of the more troublesome leverets have gotten hold of some food and are chucking it at each other.
     
Elbio sighs and tries to calm them all down." please sit...calmly, yes calm is nice and put extra snacks back like good children."     
     
At first the leverets seem to be listening, although they neither confirm nor deny that some of them hid snacks. However, as they gather around Elbio and the Caretakers look relieved, a nod is passed between the leverets, and most of them try to pounce on the Lieutenant. Julia gasps. "Nononono!! THA'S NO' PART O' TH'PLAN!! Get offa 'im!"     
     
Elbio smiles. " See this is being well behaved and....." And suddenly he screams as he falls backwards against the horde or dibbuns. He tried to escape and failed.     
     
The Caretakers try to help Elbio, but to no avail. Julia rushes forward. "Get OFFA 'im!!"

"WHAT'S GOING ON IN HERE?" Everybeast freezes as the question booms around the room. Ciocan is standing in the doorway, fists on hips as he takes in the scene. No one moves.     
     
Elbio...well can't move, nor Salute...the dibbun horde is on top of him, he manages a.." Help....ya Lordship. "     
     
Striding over, Ciocan gives the leverets a LOOK, seeming to meet the eyes of each of them. "Off." The Dibbuns obey with alacrity as they get off Elbio. Julia steps forward. "They weren't s'possed t'/do/ tha'! We were only runnin' 'round 'cause they 'ad too much energy an' if they didn't do /somethin'/, somebeast was gonna get /'urt/." She isn't aware that the 2 who had crashed into each other both have bloody noses now.     
     
Elbio slowly stands up. He has a bump, small, on his forehead and a skinned up paw.He stands taller and gives a salute and then backs away a little from the small horde.     
     
Julia sniffles slightly as Ciocan crosses his arms. "You are the future of the Long Patrol. Patrollers must learn self-control and obedience." One of the Caretakers is administering to the leverets who crashed into each other. "Disobedience and chaos always have negative consequences. 3 of my hares have been injured because of your escapades. I think an adequate punishment would be to help clean the Infirmary for a week, as well as clean up any messes this caused." The Caretakers agree, and the Badger Lord looks to Elbio for his input.     
     
Elbio listens and nods." Clean this room first and cleaning de infirm is good as well sur." He has seen some of what the Badger Mother at the abbey does so the punishment fits.He also takes a mental note, stay as far from these young hares as possible the rest if the time he is here.     
Nodding, Ciocan turns to the leverets. "Clean up this room, eat your lunch like peaceable beasts, then your Caretakers are to lead you to the Infirmary to start cleaning up in there." As the leverets trail off to do as the Badger Lord says, Julia starts to sniffle. Turning to Elbio, she manages to say, "I'm s....sorry y'got....'urted...I didn't m....mean foh tha' t' 'appen....." Ciocan waits for Elbio's response before saying anything.     
     
Elbio manages a smile and gets to where he can better speak to her." I am ok lass...trust me I have had worse happen ta me. You and the others behave ok...one day your be the next fighters, runners and healers of the LP"
     
Julia sniffles and nods. After she heads back to join the other (very subdued) leverets, Ciocan goes to lay a heavy paw on Elbio's shoulder. "I suggest you get that bump checked on in the Infirmary. I'll check on you later." The badger heads up to his seat to eat his meal. After cleaning up their mess and eating lunch, the leverets trudge off to do their chores.   
     
Elbio nods,he feels fine but he will go to the infirm, just in case. Also some sort of herbal stuff on his skinned paw is also good. He heads off as he wonders, do badgers have some sort of magic that makes dibbuns listen to them better?

Elbio has been up early and trying to figure out the new traveling beast, he sighs when he sees who it is and just sits to think.He himself knows Farian is harmless, but others may not.   
     
Krisha is half asleep as she sits up, she did hear Caleb and Darian speaking some at camp and looks over at Elbio."I have no clue why she is here."     
     
Elbio shrugs "I do not know, but it may not be wise for her to be here, I know she is on our side but, well others don't and they just dealt with a horde of vermin so..some may serious dislike her.I could take her to halyard, but...not the mountain, could be dangerous..for her that is."     
     
Krisha nods, a small frown."Ok...suppose we can figure it out  later. "

Caleb would keep up his walking, having stripped off his armor as it was a bit hotter there near the mountain. The mouse wipes a paw across his forehead to get the sweat off him before he looks up to the all too familiar mountain... It takes him a second to remember that Krisha, Elbio and Darian were behind him so he turns around and waits for the three explorers. There's a hearty smile across his face.     
     
Elbio is still unsure of Darian, yes he knows she is friendly...but others don't , he likely is gonna need to go to Halyard with her, which he needs to go there anyways.     
Krisha just looks at the mountain, it's the first time she has even been here.She lets Elbio do any talking for
     
The hares on sentry duty have been watching the travellers approaching.     
     
Two of them come down to the main entrance and move out toward Elbio and the others and one of them salutes, "Lieutenant good day, welcome home...."     
The corporal looks up at Krisha and bows, "Lady," He then looks at the mouse, "And you young sir, be welcome... I am afraid as per standing orders your weasel companion may not enter the mountain."     
     
Caleb nods and gives the corporal a hearty salute... but it's quickly dropped as he figures what the hare is saying. He had spoken to Darian yesterday that he could try to get her in but he can't break Long Patrol orders... even if he's leader of the Defenders, he's not that high up the food chain. The mouse looks back and holds up a finger before going to a saddened Darian, speaking with her for a second before coming back.     
     
Elbio nods"Hallo and it is good ta be home, even if only a few days." He smiles "We got word that young Oz is here so we decided to come pick him up to bring him home. I also plan to see how Halyard is, and get any needed news I need to know"     

The Corporal nods, "News travels fast, indeed young Oz is here, please Elbio, Lady, young sir come inside and be welcome to Salamandastron, I am sorry I cannot let your other companion inside but it is not permitted."     
     
Caleb would nod towards the corporal and look back to Darian, giving her a nod as well before he follows the hares inside, his shield that was crafted by the Badger Lord clanking a bit on his back.     
     
Elbio nods"It is fine, rules are rules after all.She could stay in Halyard perhaps." He smiles and nods for the others to follow him inside.     

Krisha nods "Zolomon..mentioned some things, and later on a hare maid named Vonda we met on the way here, told us some other updates.     
     
The Corporal nods, "Halyard would be a good idea... come inside I am sure the General is on his way down to greet you all or his lordship." He motioned for everyone to head inside.     
     
As the party from Redwall enter the mountain they are met at the bottom of the main stairs by Lord Ciocan and General Quinten. The Badger Lord comes down the stairs and smiles, bowing low, "Lady Krisha, Master Caleb be welcome back to my mountain."     
           
He glanced at Elbio and smiled, "Thank you for escorting our friends here safely, General where is the child?"     
           
Quinten smiles, "I am afraid he is having his afternoon nap right now according to the Nursery Keeper, but I am sure everyone wants to freshen up from their journey first then we can wake him up?"     
     
Caleb on instinct gives the Badger Lord and general a knee and a bow of his head... he was trained just a tiny bit by the Long Patrol and knew of greeting the Badger Lord. But he does smile and comes forward to give Ciocan and Quinten a big hug. He didn't think he'd ever see them again after his last trip here. After that, he writes up a note that says, "I can use  a small rest and perhaps a bath before we go to see Oz. I forgot that it can get hotter here from the sun because there is not a lot of cover."     
     
Elbio salutes the General and Badger Lord."Surs, yes the journey here went well, no issues to which I am glad of." He relaxes now "I also plan to check on Halyard later, see how things are.I did hear some news but likely not all of it"     
     
Krisha smiles "Hello Lord Ciocan" She smiles again at the mention of Oz is here safe and sound." I am happy Oz is here safe, I should thank whomever it was that got him here safe"     
         
Ciocan pets Caleb's head and smiles, "It was several people, I am sure they will be all pleased to see mother and child reunited. But come let's get you settled in."     
           
Quinten nods at Caleb's message, "It can be quite warm here, especially at this time of year, yet in winter it is the opposite. As for Halyard Elbio you can actually help us with something. One of the Mayor's advisers is moving to Ferravale to get away from the sea-rats who are pestering him, you could escort him to the village when you Escort Lady Krisha and her family home to Redwall."     
     
"I'll definitely love to get my things off and packed away for a few days. Thank you again for welcoming us here, Lord Ciocan and General Quinten." With a relaxed smile, the mouse would shoulder his things, waiting to follow the others wherever they needed to go.     
     
Elbio nods "I could check on that later sur, for now a bit of a rest would be good."   
Krisha nods ,slightly quiet for a moment,a slight sad look but then remembers the package she was given by Benar and gets that out "This is from Abbot Benar " She goes to hand it to Lord Ciocan,she doesn't know what is in the package, just to give it to the Badger Lord once she got to Salamandastron.     
         
     
Ciocan accepts the letter and nods to Krisha, "Thank you Badgermother Krisha, I will leave you in the capable hands of the General... Elbio do rest up and enjoy your time at home."     
           
General Quinten salutes as Ciocan heads up to his office and then turns to their guests, "Well then, follow me, I'll drop you all off at the bathhouse then you can freshen up and rest up."     
     
Caleb would nod towards the general and Ciocan, following the others with a happy smile.     

Elbio nods" sounds good." He will follow the others for now, he can rest and catch up on events and such a little later.     
     
Krisha smiles a little,"Thank you Lord Ciocan." A rest is likely good, she looks around as they walk further inside.     
     
Quinten asks, "I hope you all had an uneventful journey?" Quinten asks as he leads you toward the mountains living quarters."     
     
"As uneventful as it could be. Just some nice time walking, chatting and remembering others and certain things. A lot has changed though, especially with the fact that I'm leader of the Mossflower Defenders." He was happy to talk to Quinten again, missing his friend after a long while away.     
     
Elbio nods "No issues no, a peaceful trip and hope for peaceful on the way back as well."He then speaks on something else he heard "I heard..Major Varus is missing, any news on if he was found yet or not?"     
Quinten says, "People are still searching for him," Quinten says, "We are hoping we can bring him home soon"     
     
Krisha follows them quietly, a slight frown on some memories but she doesn't keep the frown for long, no need to think on past events,but she does wish her husband was able to be here as well.     

Errapel has been helping in the infirm while he has been here. Things have calmed a good deal, finally, and he has had more time to relax and chat with others. He now comes around a corner to see the visitors and smiles "Greetings to you"     
     
Quinten says, "Ah hello Errapel," the General smiles, "We have some guests from Redwall, this is Badgermother Krisha, her adopted son |Caleb and this is Lieutenant Elbio who I believe you have met."     
     
Caleb would bow towards Errapel, moving with the hare and the others. He signs some towards Errapel but figures he probably doesn't know so he just writes down, "Hello there. Nice to meet you."     
Elbio hmmms as he tries to remember the otter "May remember ya, but been a while."He then smiles"The otter holt upshore from de river moss, forgtot the bally name of the holt, sorry Errapel"     
     
Krisha nods her hello,she is being a little quiet for now.     
     
Errapel smiles at Caleb "Hello, I do know sign language.."He frowns "The otter holt is sadly no more, it was destoryed when the horde was here on the shores..I was not there, if I had been I likely would be dead as well"     
     
Quinten says, "Well I will leave you all in the capable hands of the quartermaster and Errapel here, I will speak to you all soon, but I need to get back to my office," the general raised a hand, "See you all at dinner,"     
     
Krisha has been quiet since they came inside or least further inside.She will quietly slip off,a hare will make sure she gets to a guest room and getsa chance to freshen up before resting.     
     
Elbio watches Krisha head off, he frowns a little and looks at Errapel "So...the holt is gone...I am sorry to hear that, where will you stay now?"     
     
Caleb looks towards his mother heading off, sighing somewhat and then looking to Elbio and the others before heading off himself to go rest and freshen up.     
     
Errapel replies "I will stay at the base in Halyard, once it's reopened and help the Long Patrol."He watches Krisha and frowns "She is filled with sadness, but reuniting with her child will help some."

Elbio says, "Yeah, her mate died"He doesn't go into details"I am glad your have a place to live now Errapel."     
     
Errapel says, "Me as well, the evil that was here is now gone and peace is here once more.We can speak later you should do as your friends, and get some rest my friend."The otter then heads off for some fresh air."     
     
Elbio nods,"Right" A rest and bath would be very welcome, and afterwards he will go check on Darian and make sure she is ok.

Elbio led the group along the river"Ok so the next stop will be in a small area on the bank., large enough for a small campsite."

Krisha nods ,she makes sure Caleb stays close"Sounds fine Elbio. I never been downriver or even the western Shore."

Elbio smiles"Your like it, Halyard...well, maybe not so much tis a bit rough and I mean rougher than Ferravale, they have a large fish market close to where they have the base..I have no idea if the base is still..standing but any issues I feel are taken care of."

Krisha frowns"Is it unsafe right now?" She frowns a little, then stops."I     was told my son is safe..is he not?"

A small otter watches them as they pass, his eyes widened as he comes into view "A badger...."He circles Elbio "You're in the Long Patrol...I was there, in the mountain with my sis."

Elbio blinks "You were, when was this and who are you, where are your parents and sister?" So many questions.

Krisha smiles at the young otter"Its likely not wise to get too far, you or your sister. Is she a big sister or a younger sister?"

Kelp smiles." Older,  I was seeing how close we were ta some stone bridge, cause south of that supposed to be an abbey."

Vonda soon jogs over, " Kelp,  never slip off while I am asleep, you could of." She then noticed the hare and badger." OH, hello."

Krisha smiles" Hello, you are a couple days from the abbey. I am Mother Krisha,  with me is Caleb and Lt. Velm. We are heading to Salamandastron. "

Elbio nods a hello." I might be able to find a way to give you as escort, if needed."

Kelp smiles " We were thar..alla bad beasts be gone."

Vonda smiles.  " My name is Vonda and this is Kelp, my little brother and yes the shores are safe again ."

Krisha listens." That's good news,  my son Oz is there, we are going to get him and bring him home, hopefully in time for the Summer Feast."

Kelp smiles." Cool...I know Oz. He is my friend, yeah I get to see him again."

Elibo nods, they get to the camp site and sits. " There is a hare at the abbey that will be very happy to see you,...Zolomon."

Vonda gasps,a smile " Really. " She sounds happy and relieved.

Krisha nods, she decides to get some rest,  she will eat dinner then go to sleep.

Kelp yawns, yeah sleep is good.

Elibo sits, " If I may ask lass, can you...update me some?"

Vonda nods and tells of her otter holt, of Halyard taken over, the base unusable and needing rebuilt.She mentions deaths,  the missing major, and that the horde and wildcat are gone and dead now. How she left and now is .

=Hour later =

Elbio sits on a tree stump deep in thought, so much had happened it seemed.He sighs a bit and places his face in his paws.

Vonda comes over,she only planned to stay the night,then with the direction and head to the abbey.She sits down a bowl of hot root."If you want it..I didn't mean to upset you with news...but what's important is the shores are safe once more."

Elbio takes the soup,"Not your fault, I asked and.."His ears droop "I got news." He eats a little of the soup but his mind still wanders some," Its not to far to the abbey...couple days  from here."

Vonda nods"Me and Kelp will be fine and thank you for letting us stay at your campsite tonight"

Elbio nods"Your welcome, I would even say join us but that wouldn't be best if you have already come this far."

Vonda nods. She too heads to bed.

Elibo is up late before he goes to bed  in the morning he finds Silverwing and has the eagle lead Vonda and Kelp to the abbey. 

The small group, Lt.Elbio. Mother Krisha and  Caleb continue their journey to Salamandastron.

The GUOSIM camp is a bustle of busy, arguing, preparing shrews, the log boats are all in the water ready to go. From the big ones made from entire tree trunks that can carry upwards of 6-8 beasts. Or the smaller ones for two or three beasts. Supplies, food, tents, tools, and spare oars are all being loaded.   

Oswald is standing near his log boat checking they have everything they need, including as many cushions as he could get his hands on so Leigh can be comfortable. Everything is a bustle and ready to go, the great river-trip is more or less ready to set sail under the command of the Log-a-Log. Though Oswald is expecting things to go slowly as their non-shrew guests who aren't used to rowing a boat are taught how to paddle.
   
The shrew is wearing a light vest and a pair of dark trousers, his braids have been tied back so they hang down his back out of the way and he has a broad brimmed hat on to keep the sun off. He is as ready as he can be and is just waiting for their guests to arrive.
   
Xavier comes down to the boats. " should be a right fun trip. Some adventure maybe even."   

Blade hmms softly" As long as we don't run into troubles, we have had enough troubles lately."   

Zeek shakes his head"Why you always grumpy Blade, try and cheer up fer once,life isn't about being grumpy most of de time, Life can be fun too"   

Leigh has taken her time a lot lately, being careful as she makes her way to the boats.Its very very likely in a few days another shrew will be joining in on the river trip.   

Gorvenalus smiles as he has decided to join in on the trip as well"Its been a long while since I have taken a trip along the river bank,spo I thought I join in as well."   

Oswald moves over to offer Leigh his arm and smiles at her, "Would you like to get into the boat now dear?"   

Xavier double checks on supplies and makes sure all is well with the log boats before he gets ready to lead them on the trip with the help of Oswald. He even has maps of the river in case they are needed.
   
Leigh smiles and will allow Oswald to help her into the boat   

Blade shrugs"May as well tag along."There are a couple shrews that will likely stay behind to keep an eye on the camp while others are away.   

Zeek chuckles and gets in a boat."It will be fun, we can explore places, maybe some place new even,who knows."   

Gorvenalus smiles at the Log-a-log "And if the group does need another healer, which it looks like you may, I can help with that as well."   
   
Oswald asks, "I've been looking forward to this for months," the bard shrew says with a smile, "And Leigh refuses to stay behind, Gorvenalus, Lee do you know which boats you wish to travel in? I have space for one more in mine but you'll have to help with the rowing."
 
Xavier says, "An extra healer be good, Leigh is only one have and she is gonna have a dibbun soon."   

Leigh gets comfortable and smiles." I don't think being in the camp is the best  thing right now and I want Oswald there when the dibbun is born."   

Lee hums. "Well, I've brought my son and daughter," he says, gesturing to the two younger otters with him. "Is there a bout with space for two extra?"   

Blade hmmms as he looks to the boats "May be space yeah..we do have extra log boats today."   

Zeek is mainly on the trip to help cook vittals when they stop to rest along the trip.He has his supplies and even can forage for other supplies, and hey...lots of fish and crayfish in the river   

Gorvenalus smiles"Learning to use a log boat should be..interesting indeed."   

Oswald asks, "Well Lee we can give you and your kids a spare boat to paddle it yourself as a team and the recorder can join Leigh and I in my boat how does that sound?"
   
Xavier helps figure out who goes well." A useful skill to learn to paddle a log boat."   
Leigh chuckles some, she is in a good mood today.   

Gorvenalus nods,he will join Leigh and Oswald in their boat.   

The otter nods. "That sounds good t' me, mate. C'mon Rose, Konrad... Let's get into th' boat."   

Blade waits for things to start, he is still slightly grumpy, then he is always grumpy it seems.   

Zeek smiles"I will also try not ta make..too many fish dishes, hmms maybe a sweet skinny and duff could be made, yeah.  "
 
Oswald smiles and offers Gorvenalus a hand to help him into the boat, "Ok if you take the middle seat. Leigh is at the back and I am at front. It isn't too hard to paddle but we need to work in a rhythm I'll be happy to show everyone how it works once everyone is in a boat."   

Xavier nods in agreement, he knows the plan for the trip.   

Leigh smiles. she lays a paw on her pregnant middle and smiles again, luckily no dibbun today, hard to say when but a week or less is very likely.   

DoraRose decided her family needed a vacation. She couldn't convince Angela to come (the old mouse coming up with many potential issues and problems that might arise from a bunch of people going on an adventure in boats), but she still managed to make the whole thing work out. She is busily helping pack a boat while LilyMoore is helping with another. Dora actually still remembers how to paddle from that one time they went to go rescue the Dibbuns. Lily listens wide-eyed as the shrews argue about....well, everything.   

Zeek snorts, he is arguing with a shrew in his boat over forgetting some sort of spice,"Your live.....blah..." The shrew seems to think otherwise,they should have packed his favorite spice darn it.   

Gorvenalus looks  over and chuckles."I knew hamsters at Willowbark that would argue over little things sometimes."   

Lee and his children set their bags in the boat that was offered previously, and Lee takes an oar. Being an otter, rowing comes naturally. Konrad climbs into the boat, but Rosepaw pauses for a moment to wave at LilyMoore. "Hey, Lil!" she calls out.   

Oswald settles in his boat and uses an oar to push himself away from the bank, it drifts out and he looks along the shore, "Ok Log-a-Log did you want to lead the paddling lesson for our friends? Or have one of us do it?"   

Xavier looks at the map and rolls it back up as he smiles." Learning ta row is not too hard really." He smiles. " You can start is off Oswald, we probably won't get too far up river but that is ok."   

Leigh smiles. She will help paddle when needed, she is still able to do so.   

Zeek nods"Yes let adventure start my friends"   

Gorvenalus chuckles as this would be his first time in a log boat, yes he has never been in one and even if he is old,he will still enjoy the trip.   

DoraRose settles into her boat as they get ready to head off. When she picks up a paddle, it becomes clear that she's done this before. LilyMoore smiles and waves to the otter. "Hi!! How are you? This is gonna be so much fun!" She gets into her boat (which is not the one her mother is in, interestingly enough) and picks up a paddle, eager to learn.   

Lee climbs into the boat, and lifts his oar. He's done this before, too. "Right?" Rose calls over, as she climbs into the boat with her father and brother. "Talk to ya more when we get there!"   

Oswald smiles and waves an oar, "Ok everyone, those of you who need a lesson push on out into the water and join me, my wife and the dear Recorder."   

The shrew smiles, the bells in his braids jingling as he spins the oar expertly. "Now paddling is pretty easy, the real challenge is making sure you go where you want."

He settles into a brief explanation of the paddle, how it is shaped, why it is shaped and then with Gorvenalus and Leigh's help shows how they all dig their oars in on one side together, then switch and the other side together, then starts to pick up a rhythm.   

"See how we are moving in a straight line, if we want to steer Leigh can change our direction from the rear or I can from the front. It is pretty simple with more practice we can try some more adventurous paddle work but for now we all want to just get going up right toward our first camp that Log-a-Log has picked out for us all."   

Xavier chuckles." Maybe save more adventurous till the dibbun is born." Unless its twins, hmmm...oh well Oswald and Leigh will have the dibbun, or dibbuns, with them. He makes sure everything is going well as they start to travel up the river.   

Zeek paddlers along gently and smiles,he is glad the weather was good too.   

Gorvenalus listens and does fairly well with learning to paddle, he will need practice of course.   

It only takes a couple strokes before DoraRose has fully remembered what she's supposed to do. The Warrior easily keeps up with the shrews. As a matter of fact, she has to hold herself back a bit since she's so strong -- paddling too hard could throw the rhythm off. LilyMoore takes a bit longer, having never done this before, but after a little bit she, too, is paddling with ease.   

Oswald has everyone who is learning paddling back and forth and up and down against and with the current. Once he is satisfied all their guests have got a hang of the basics he raises his oar to the Log-a-Log, "I think we are good to get going Log-a-Log by your command."   

Xavier checks how the rest are doing. He nods." Let's get going."   

Gorvenalus nods, he has the basic idea of paddling now, he can practice as they go along.   

Zeek smiles, he knows the trip will start out slow, so he relaxes and enjoys the trip to the first camp.   

Lee is paddling expertly, and his boat cuts through the water with ease, outstripping some of those other beasts that are still struggling.   

DoraRose shakes her head at the otter. "Show off! I may not be as skilled as you, but I bet my strength could catch my boat up to yours, Lee!" LilyMoore is busy chatting with the shrews in her boat, her infectious friendliness easing her into any conversation topic.   

Gorvenalus at the otter and hmmms"Guess he catches on quickly"   
Oswald turns his boat and starts paddling upriver, turning the boat with Gorvenalus and Leighs' help and moves his boat in to paddle along near Xavier's "Ok sp shall we get this trip underway"   

Xavier nods." We start now my friend..." He sighs at the otter." Long as he...don't get lost...be his fault. "   

Zeek asks, "Guess he seeks adventure, he can make sure de river is good up ahead, right?"

Lee passes Gorvenalus, and he calls out, "I was practically born wi' an oar in me paw, mate!" He then turns to Dora Rose and grins. "We'll see about that... Konrad, get yer oar, too. Start paddlin' wi' me. Try not t' overexert yerself, Son. C'mon!"   

DoraRose smirks, but glances at the shrews in her boat and the Log-a-Log in his boat. "I won't race him if you'd rather we didn't." She just spoke without thinking. Oops. LilyMoore waves across at Rosepaw, then at Gorvenalus. "This is fun!"   

Xavier speaks." Lets not race today, we can do that another day.   "

Zeek grins"A race another day would be fun yeah"   

Gorvenalus nods"I do agree, maybe on another day.some do need to get use to paddling first after all" 
 
Oswald says, "Paddling up the river is the best fun Miss Lillymore," he smiles warmly at her and then glances at the others, "I am sure we can race another day, but if you lot go haring off and swamp my boat with your wakes I will capsize the lot of you for getting my wife wet."

Gorvenalus nods"And his mate is expecting a child soon, maybe after the child is born"   

Lee feigns surprise. "A child, mate? Yer gonna need t' start another GUOSIM camp 'ere soon." He jokes, but lessens the pace as the race idea is kiboshed. "Anyway, I woulda brought me wife Stream'eart wi' us, but she were feelin' poorly, an' decided to stay back at Redwall."   

Xavier makes sure most behave, so far, so good on any out of control arguments.
   
DoraRose glances at Lee. "Had she been to the Infirmary yet? Is she alright?" LilyMoore grins at Oswald, matching the paddle strokes of her fellow boatmates. "I just like adventures, and being with friends."   

Oswald laughs warmly and smiles at Lee, "If she shows herself as feeling ill in the Abbey, Dora's mother will pounce and drag her off for a tonic. ."   

Gorvenalus speaks"The abbey healers are very good,she should be fine." He hmmms" If she seems ill at a certain time of day all the time, maybe she is with child"He shrugs.   

Lee shakes his head. "She was speakin' t' one o' th' Novice 'ealers yesterday. A bit of an upset stomach. Between you 'n' me, it might be another..." But then he pauses as Gorvenalus says it. "That. I know she plans t' see Angela later today, so if that's what it is, I guess I'll find out when we get back."   

Oswald asks, "Well if it is another little one on the way Lee, congratulations," Oswald calls across as his boat skulls along the water, sloshing a small wave out behind it as he turns a corner, "Now everyone, how about a proper old GUOSIM rowing ditty to help us all along?"
   
DoraRose smiles. "I would love that. Haven't used a tune to keep a pace for far too long." LilyMoore grins. The moment they start singing, if she knows it, she joins in her melodious voice. Even if she doesn't know it, she hums along as she catches the melody. Dora does the same. 
 
Gorvenalus smiles "A new song to learn, it sounds nice and I am sure Log-a-log and Oswald can teach it to all of us" 
 
Lee joins in with a fine otter baritone, and he seems to know the words already, as well.   
 
Oswald smiles and bangs his oar one side of his logboat, digs deep, bangs it on the other, paddles forward, bangs it again and again, settling into a rhythm as he ploughs through the river and lifts his deep, gruff melodious voice in song.

It is one of the GUOSIM's oldest paddling songs, the rhythm a good one for helping to tie everyone into a rhythm together.   
   
DoraRose recognizes the song and joins in, her voice a melodious alto. LilyMoore remembers it from her studies of Redwall history, and joins in quite happily. Her voice is clear and bright, and many of the birds in the area stop singing until she's through. They both have fallen into the rhythm of the paddling. Emyuil, who has been quiet in the background, hums along, paddling in time to the tune.   

Gorvenalus smiles, he does get the rhythm for paddling down well and waits a little while till he sings a little.   

Lee is still singing along, and soon Konrad and Rosepaw join in, as well, their voices clear and bright as they sing with their father.   

Oswald smiles and with Xavier's help leads the way up the river, they only go a couple of hours today to give everyone time to get used to the paddling and their first camp tonight will be on a small island in the middle of the river. It is going to be a great trip.

Elbio had been in the infirm since yesterday afternoon, he was better but the healers demanded he rest 1 more day.He sat up in bed, still a lot on his mind, passing out on the road due to the heat and then who saves him..zolomon.Also the chat he had is still fresh on his mind as he sighs.   

Benar walks into the infirmary to talk to Angela, not finding her, however he makes his way over toward ELbio, "Elbio, what are you doing in here?"   

Elbio looks over at the Abbot. " I passed out on the road, my water canteen fell and most of the water spilled out, I figured I would be fine till I got back..guess I was wrong."
   
Benar says, "Well i am glad you are safely here," Benar tilts his head, ears perking up high, "Make sure to take care of yourself. I hope you are well otherwise?"
   
Elbio nods, he speaks." Zolomon..found me..got me here, was surprised by that...after how I treated him, he still basically saved my life probably."   

Benar says, "Well Zolomon is a good hare," The abbot says, "He may have had some problems in the past but he is still a good beast overall."

Elbio nods. " And updated me on some news...or at least wot he knew."
   
Benar says, "Yes I heard there has been some sort of attack on the shore... I am sure we will hear news sooner or later.""   
Elbio hmmms. " So he told you some things as well?"   

Benar says, "Just that there was some trouble with vermin," the abbot frowns, "I sadly do not know any more than that."   
Elbio nods and seems to debate." I know more...me and Zolomon had a long talk. But he didn't know much else, he left when some stuff was going on. He did mention.." He stops there and sighs." Nevermind..."   
Benar says, "Well I am glad you were able to hear about home, I am sure it will all work out. I have faith in the long Patrol. "Never mind what though Elbio?"
   
Elbio nods. " Yes they should be fine, they are the Long patrol after all." A smile,then an uncertain look.He has no clue all turned out well.He well.He decides to tell the Abbot." Someone is at the mountain now, but I agree with Zolomon on not saying anything to anyone, but you can know...just no others as zolomon had a point, possible false hope or..well having your Badger Mother wanting to take a long trip possible.." He takes a deep breath." Oz is there, he is alive.``   

Benar smiles broadly, "Oh that is very good news," He tilts his head, "I am not sure I can keep this from Krisha however Elbio.... I really don't think it is in good taste to keep this information from Krisha... I will have to think on this."
   
Elbio nods." I will let you decide then. Zolomon. just didn't want to give false hope if...the worse happened on the shore. " He  seems to think for a long while." Sur...if I may, perhaps I can go? I wouldn't have Mother Krisha go..unless you would ok that, either way I can go.I could leave tonight..downriver on a boat don't take as long as walking. "

    Couple hours later

Krisha is taking a small break from the dibbuns, looking over a schedule of who is helping and when.   

Benar walks down into the cavern hole looking for Krisha, once he spots the badger he heads over toward her, "Krisha, sorry to bother you, can I have a moment of your time?" He has his most serious face on, it's time to be serious.
   
Krisha nods." I was looking over who will help with dibbuns for the next few weeks, and yes those going with GuOSIM I know whom they are and no if asking I am not going with the GUOSIM. Hmm maybe Zolomon can help with the dibbuns..anyways what did you need Benar?"   

Benar says, "Thank you, but I fear I must ask you to go to Salamandastron for me," He says, still in his most serious manner, "Zolomon told Elbio who told me and I am afraid I must ask you to go. I will send Elbio with you and Caleb too if you like? But you must go as quickly as you can. I will just have to deal with the Dibbuns with the help of the order."
   
Krisha looks at Benar with a why look, she nods." I..suppose I could Benar, and Caleb can come, Elbio of course does need to get any news, we are probably sending news from here,right?"   

Benar says, "Oh I'll write a letter for his Lordship," Benar turned away and walked over to watch the dibbuns, "But I just need you to pop to Salamandastron, pick up Oz and bring him home, I hear his mother is missing him," He says all casual like, "If you leave soon you should be back in time for the feast."

Krisha at first doesn't hear him or thinks she mishears him.She stands and goes to follow him." Wait..Oz?..Oz is..he's there? He's alive?"   

Caleb was walking around and doing his usual chores when he heard those words. The mouse's eyes go wide and he rushes over with a note already written out. The young mouse almost trips over his own tail. "Did you say that Oz is out there somewhere?!?"   

Benar turns to look up at Krisha, "Oh did I not mention that before? Yes I need you to go pick Oz up, he's at Salamandastron with Lord Ciocan according to Zolomon. I know you're busy and half the adults are off on a river trip but I really need someone I can trust to go pick him up," He grins softly, "Think you two and Elbio can handle that?"   

Krisha smiles, some tears but happy ones as she nods." I..yes, of course..we can leave tonight or in the morning."
   
Caleb was crying some himself, having thought that Oz might be hurt or even dead somewhere. The mouse takes a moment to write out another note while he hugs his mother. "Of course! I can leave whenever we're all ready!"   

Benar is smiling now, a big wide grin and holds up his hands, "Do not rush off, he is safe and well, I want you to plan properly. No running off without supplies or Elbio, he's your guide... if you try to run off before you're ready  then Dora will have  orders to not let you out."   

Krisha nods.," Morning should be fine then, let's see a couple week..or is it 3..weeks there and then the same amount back."   

Benar says, "No setting a departure time without talking to Elbio, he is still in the infirmary from dehydration so you cannot leave until the healers discharge him. But it is about 3 weeks."

Caleb seems happier than he has been in a while. His brother has finally been found and he'll be going on a trip with his mother to go get him back. "Then we'll wait for the morning when Elbio is up and about. Who knows, maybe even Zolomon can go with us... I asked him to come with me on my next leave from the Abbey and I think he needs to get out."   

Benar says, "Zolomon..... he cannot go with you I am afraid," the Abbot says softly, "Not to the Western Shore, he has been.... well that is for him to say. But I do encourage you to involve him in the defenders when you return."

Krisha had heard what happened " Yes I heard what happened…. Zolomon cant go with us...he can help with the dibbuns though other  news, seems he and Elbio are on better terms...or least better than it was, he is the one that got elbio to the infirm when Elbio passed out."
   
Caleb then remembers what had happened and nods. "He... told me something of it. But that is alright. I just want to make sure that he feels included... he was dad's friend and now he's the same to me."   

Benar says, "Now this is good news so I want you both to go prepare, start getting what you need and I will see you off myself."
   
Caleb would nod and look to his mom, quite excited that he was going to finally see his brother again. "T... Thank you, Abbot Benar. I won't let you down."   
Krisha smiles." We will be ready in the morning..after breakfast."
   
Benar says, "Now i need to go talk to Lacota, you two make your plans, you can use the maps in my office if it helps""   
Krisha nods." Well Elbio does know the way there."   

Caleb smiles as well then writes something down for his mother. "We should still gather a map and make sure we know where everything is... even with a guide it's best to have a back-up plan."   
Krisha nods." True..last time I ever traveled..lets see, oh yes a while ago to see Willowbark,very nice place by 3 waterfalls."   

Zolomon sits down in a chair and looks over at then." Travel?..where?"
   
Krisha walks over to the hare." To the western shores....you could have told me..."   

Caleb was smiling somewhat but then hushed up as he looked towards Zolomon and his mother. He would let them talk it through.   

Zolomon frowns..he clears his throat. " Im sorry ..didn't want to..give false hope, just in case...ya know."   

Krisha nods." Your  forgiven Zolomon."   
Caleb would give Zolomon's leg a hug since that was really all he could reach, nodding towards the hare.   

Zolomon smiles a little." I believe your trip will go well, some feeling I have that everything is a lot safer now." He has something on his mind." If you..see a ..see a haremaid named." He smiles." Vonda..tell her I..miss her."   

Krisha nods, a smile. " If we see her, we will."   

Zolomon smiles a little, he does miss Vonda, a lot in fact.   

Caleb would nod and give a cheeky salute. "When I see her, I will tell her, sir!" is what his note said, smirking somewhat.   

Krisha smiles." I am gonna get ready." She heads to her room as she calls out." Im gonna put you on the list to help with the dibbuns Zolomon."   

Benar walks back in from the kitchens, "Ok Lacota and his team are putting together some supplies for you, they are in the middle of preparing supplies to be taken to the GUOSIM's river trip. But they have plenty of spares so they are making up some packs of food for you all as well."   
Zolomon and blinks. " Wait wot?" He pouts a little at this." I don't always get along with dibbuns."   

Benar says, "Oh yes, Krisha did mention that," He grins at Zolomon, "Whilst Krisha is away and as Caleb won't be able to help you start working with the defenders until he gets back, I guess that makes you papa Zolomon until her return."

Zolomon then chuckles." Yeah Brother L likely likes Elbio...that hare don't even eat like a normal hare, its like he dont know how,poor fellow." He huhs at the name." Well others are bally well helping with dibbins too...right?"   

Caleb giggles somewhat and writes up another note while he does. "You can take care of them! I know you'll be perfect at it!"   
Zolomon reads the note. " I will..barely well try and watch the dibbuns"

Benar says, "It will certainly help of that I am sure," Benar says with a smile as he settles down in a chair.

Caleb settles himself and seems to just sip from a small waterskin he has on him at all times, enjoying the cool air of Cavern Hole.   

Zolomon sighs. " I wonder if..Vonda still..likes me, or maybe she changed her mind..I like her still...I.." He thinks a while." I..more than..like her in fact ."   

Benar says, "I am afraid I cannot really say Zolomon, you will just have to wait until you see her next""   

Caleb smiles somewhat and writes out, "I'm sure that she still likes you... and I'm sure you could get together with her again."   

Zolomon nods." Maybe, but if not..thats ok too. I admit I still have..things to deal with, I still get..angry at times, but I am trying. " He stops a moment " I..got Elbio to..listen to me..I..think we are on better..well terms now, I mean we..no longer want to..punch each other so its a start. "
   
Benar says, "Good, I'd throw you both to Lacota if you two start punching each other," Benar says as he looks over his glasses at everyone, "So you best behave all of you."
   
Zolomon says, "I will...try and..think Foremole is a little mad too..I spilled all the nails and barely missed nailing his foot to the base of the treehouse..the nail was between too toes...that mole can run fast too . But I was still..faster."
   
Benar laughs, "I hear, he was quite verbose about it, but no harm done and the treehouse is complete."   

Caleb would get up slowly and look around before nodding to them both. "I need to head out and get things ready... along wtih finish any left over chores. Thank you for telling me about this, Abbot Benar... and Zolomon, don't worry. I'll make sure to tell Vonda about you." With a nod, he heads out.   

Zolomon smiles." That's good..." He stops when he sees Foremole and decides he best leave before being seen." Yeah...chores...wait for me lad!"   

Benar says, "I shall see you both soon," Benar raises a hand, "Take care both of you""   

Elibo briefly double checked things, all was ready for the trip in the morning and the hare was free of the infirm.
