I think this is a nice idea

It would be great to see an officer training programme and characters slowly getting promoted.
I am always happy to run things and be on to take the lead with stuff as my busy schedule allows!

But it is cool to see other people running stuff too!
I mostly keep Quinten at home these days, he's had all his "Younger days" adventures. Back before you lovely youngsters joined the MUCK so I try to let other people shine. But I would love to get involved in teaching people things IC.

It still doesn't sit well with me banning an entire group of players from a location on the Muck.
And where has this mystery group who apparently now control Halyard come from?

Don't get me wrong I am glad to hear and see plot things happening and I am aware I have been away a bit due to RL

It just doesn't sit very well with me as it comes across in Terrence's planning post

Additionally Halyard IS part of the Badger Lords Domain, everything along the Western Shore is under the jurisdiction of the mountain

At least that is how it has always has been shown since I've been on the muck,

This'd be like someone rocking up and telling the Queen of England that Norwich is now theirs
Or someone popping a note to the US President that New York is ours now, please leave and the people in Halyard are just going to go
"Sure thing shrug some people we've never heard of are our lords now"

Just feels very out of nowhere, but that is probably my fault for having been away due to RL
But I can't see the people of Halyard or the Badger Lord just going "Sure mysterious people hiding your identity Halyard belongs to you now"

In my mind if a group of Mercenaries turn up and try to take control of Halyard and their supposed "Leaders" won't reveal themselves the Mayor would scream for help and consider it an invasion and most of Halyard's residents and the LP would drive them out.
