~Setting~

The First Orchard of Redwall abbey, ten days after the war began and six days after the end of the last battle.

~Characters~

-Oz, Dibbun Caretaker
-Henry, Bird Bard of the defenders

~WHEN LAST WE LEFT OUR HEROES~

The first battle of the sparra Civil War ended in victory for Ironwood and the pro-Readwall sparrows. The forces of Warclaw -the ambitious nephew of the missing king of the sparrows, and leader of the anti-Redall sparrows- retreated into Mossflower woods , while the forces of Ironwood -a sparra warrior, and temporarily leader of the pro-Redwall sparrows- retreated into the Abbey. Both sides most gather allies if they wish to win the next encounter.

Thus is the sparrow civil war...
__________________________________________________________________________________

Oz sits under one of the trees in the orchards, his fur still showing a light blue and most likely would for a few more days yet. He is relaxing some as he got least the first half of the day off from his normal duties.

As the badger sits, a low hum starts from above. The humming gets louder and louder, until it the humming stops and is replaced by singing:
“I hear the wind blow through the wood,
You tried to fight as best you could,
For the sweet nest you hold so dear.
Now may you soul fly swift from here.”

Oz tilts his head as he listens to the singing and tries to figure out whom is singing the song as he listens.

The singing continues:
“I mourn your passing with my tears.
The future holds all hopes and fears.
You'll see them not, your fears are gone,
For your good soul has want beyond.”

Oz listens quietly “Whom is singing?” He asks, the song is good and there isn’t usually much singing at the abbey and he knows it to be a bird, or least he thinks it’s a bird.

Despite the badger's wonderings, the song goes on:
“I'll miss you much now that you’re gone,
I must by strong and carry on,
To protect the home for witch you fought,
The home for witch your life was bought.”

Oz decides to just listen to the song, maybe he can find out who it is soon as he just listens for now.

“Oh, worry not, my friend  in flight,
I will move forward with the fight.
I shall preserve your memory well,
And keep good the home for which you fell.”

The singing stops and a moment later a black throated sparrow with golden eyes flies down from the trees. He lands gracefully on the orchard ground.

Oz nods a hello “You’re a good singer and that is an interesting song.”

The sparrow turns startled, but calms down when he see the badger. “Greetings stripyworm,” Says the sparrow. Who, as may be guessed, is Henry the Poet. “That was a traditional sparra dirge, I was singing it to mourn the all the sparra who fell in the last battle.”

Oz nods “I heard some of that but not alot of what happen, I know some fell in the battle with Quade. Other lives were lost as well due to Quade and all were mourned but will be remembered and never forgotten”

Oz nods “I heard some of that but not alot of what happen, I know some fell in the battle with Quade. Other lives were lost as well due to Quade and all were mourned but will be remembered and never forgotten”

The usually happy sparra looks sad. “I was not referring to those lost to Quade, though I mourn them also.”

Oz listens “I did overhear something of a fight in the loft, but no details just a fight and sparra being in the infirm, some feathers in the open ground but nothing else. I know the Sparra keep to them selves and I respect that. I knew of an eagle that keep to themselves, one day they seeked help for thier eggchick who was taken in by my family at the time as the mother died....that eagle protected my family with its life, saddly he was killed recently in the fight with Quade.”

“There is a sparra civil war,” Says the bard simply.

Oz frowns” I..read of a war between the sparrows , it was during matthis time...I read a lot before I became blind, the storys I tell the dibbuns are from memories or some of my childhood or life in the snowy north before...well before I left and came to live here”

The black throated bard rises an eyebrow, “I am a sparra bard, it is my job to sing about sparra history,” says he. “And yet I have never heard of this war...” The sparrow thinks. “When you say war,” asks Henry. “Do you mean when Queen Warbeak toke over from mad KingBullSparra?”

Oz nods “Yes, it was then I was learning of the history of the abbey shortly after I became the dibbun caretaker and that was one log in the recorder logs I found.”

“Oh,” say the bird bard, tilting his head to one side. “I have never heard that been called a war...” He falls in to pondering.

Oz says, “Yes they fought over leadership rights and keep the fight to themselves mainly, it was many many many seasons ago, way before anyones time here”

I know that,” says Henry, “But KingBullSparra was killed died by Matthias crazy mouse after he got scabbed, Queen Warbeak was next in line. So meum not sure if there was fight.” He begins to ponder again. “I must look into this,” he says at last.

Oz nods, suddenly a novice comes running over to the badger and talks really fast till Oz puts up a paw and the novice takes a deep breath “A couple dibbuns…they tied novice Peter to a chair and dumped oatmeal all over him and...”Oz sighs and then nods to the sparrow “Excuse me I need to tend to something, have a good day” He walks off, oh well he had part of a morning off.

If you read the log, you know that there are links to songs. I think that's a great idea! I already pick thyme songs for my characters. so I thought, "Way not? Me log may not be as awesome as that one, but I can still post music!"
Wow, I am rambling.

Without any further ado... The thyme song, to the book--->https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHyf_VTusOA

~Setting~

The Infirmary of Redwall abbey, nine days after the war began.

~Characters~

-Leon, Master Healer of Redwall
-Quickbeak, Ancient former king of the sparra
-Yellowrose, Sparrow maiden

~WHEN LAST WE LEFT OUR HEROES~

The first battle of the sparra civil war has ended in the victory of the pro-Redwall sparra. The forces of Warbeak have fled into the forest and the forces under temporary commend of Ironwood have moved down into the abbey. Both sides must gather allies if they wish to win the next encounter.
About twenty of the pro-redwall forces are wounded, including Ironwood. Warclaw's casualties are, as of yet, unlearned. Quickbeak, who went of to fight in the first battle, has still to return.
His fate is still unknown.

Thus is the sparrow civil war...
__________________________________________________________________________________

Leon had taken a day off, he needed a day off and now he is back to work in the infirm and he has some herbs to dry out on a table top as he spreads them out and keeps them separated by kinds of herbs.

The Infirmary door creeks open fallowed by the little yellow head of the sparrow maiden Yellowrose.

Leon nods a hello and gets back to tending the herbs. He speaks to a novice who smiles and heads into the hallway. He then gives his attention to the sparrow "Hello."

"Greetings," Say the little sparrow. There is a long pause as she looks first around the room, then at the floor, then finally to Leon himself. "Could youum help me with something healerworm?" She asks quietly.

Leon listens before replying "Helpum with what?" Yeah he has learned better sparrow talk now.

The sparra maid pauses before ducking behind the door. She reappears a moment later hauling a heavy leather bound book. With great efferent she drags the book into the Infirmary. She stands on the book panting heavily as she regains her breath. Then she speaks, "Meum do not know how to...um..." she stops and thinks trying to remember the word.

Leon bends down to look at the book "Whereum...find this and yes I knowum how read."

"Read," she repeats to herself, as she looks down at the book. "Meum must remember that. Read!" She looks back to Leon. "Itum gift," She says. "Edwardsprra give it to me before he..." She pauses and stares at the book.

Leon frowns "I am sorry" Least he is guessing she means died. He looks at the book to see the title and what it is about. He can let the abbot know of the book, or place it in the library or maybe the infirm depending on the book.

"Heum no died," Says the Yellowrose. "He...well he..." She goes quite and stares at the book agian. The book is titled 'A Map to a Map: a tome for finding'.

Leon hmmms " A map to a map: A tome for finding....." He blinks "Find what I wonder....just anything?"

The sparrow maiden stares at the book quietly for a long while. "He joined Warclaw," She says softly. Large tears start to run down her cheeks. "Edward joined Warclaw!" Then she breaks down into loud crying.

Leon blinks, OK crying sparrow "Meum is sorry...so sorry, I do hope this sparrawar is done soon we don’t need more trouble."

Yellowrose starts the get the crying under control. "But thatum be probable," Sobs the sparra. "Edward with Warclaw...so to end war... to end end war...Edward has to die!" She breaks down again.

Leon is unsure how to comfort a sparrow, "Maybe heum...getback to your side..hope." He tries to think how he would handle this and is unsure.

Unfortunately, the words 'I hope' is never a very comforting thing. The yellow sparrow cries loud and long. Eventually, her glides into a soft sobbing. "Do youum think..." she manages to sob. "Do youum really think, that Edward will join our side?"

Leon sighs "I do not know, it depends on how good friends or family youum are, guess time will tell...if he was good before its possible."

"Heum was good!" She exclaims. Then she looks at the book, her face turn red. "Heum good sparra..."

Leon nods "Then...'tis possible to have him join your side again and others too maybe" He looks at the book again and opens it to see whats inside.

The sparrow's face lights up at the hope of Edward joining the her side. She hops of the book so that the mouse can open it. The book's first page reads, "To those who wish to find, and to those who wish to be lost."

Leon blinks "Why would anyone wish to be lost?" He shrugs and looks over the first page and then the next one "I willum show Abbotworm this book, then see where best place it"

Suddenly there's a flurry of wings outside and Quickbeak appears. The ancient bird lives on. Though he looks minus a few more feathers and plus a few more scars he's definitely in one piece and slowly walks in to the infirmary with a tired little chirp before hopping up on to the end of a bed. He'd come to see the injured while the loft was for the moment alright with Warclaw at least banished from the area.

The yellow headed sparra turns to the window. "KingQuickbeaksaprra! Youum be alive!" All the sparra that can turn to the old king and greet him with cries of relief.

Leon looks over and nods a hello to the king sparrow and waits to see what he has to say as the book can wait for now, but he will get it off the floor and onto a table.

Quickbeak tilts his head at the young sparrow as if questioning how there was ever any doubt "Time notta killee Quickbeak, foolsparra notta have chance" he is the great and powerful Quickbeak!...That one of his granddaughters insisted was not to dive in to battle. He tried to, he really did, he got as far as the outskirts of the battle and got in a few swipes of his claws but she just kept fighting his battles for him and to her credit winning them "Warclawfoolsparra outa leftnest. Ita safe atta moment" his attention shifts to Leon "Abbeymouseworm! How'um alla hurt sparra? Sparra live yes?"

Yellowrose sighs with relief. So the other sparrows.

Leon answers "Healerworm...try hard, yes most sparrow livea…one did die of badwounds, I am sorry...healerworms not always saveum all beasts." He has gotten fairly good with sparrow talk.

Yellowrose nod in agreement.

Leon nods "I agree. I hope ends soon.”

Yes, I am Martin O'Malley. But why do you want to play with him? I it the pun? It's the pun isn't it? Chicks dig the puns (chinken raising tip of the week (even though I never actually raised a chicken)). Joking aside, why do you want to play with Martin? I would by happy to play him, but I am curious. I would rather him not go to Redwall (unless he decides to go naturally through RPing). You see, I already play Henry so much more than the other two, that if there were in the same location I would probable play Henry exclusively (although that's only a theory.

Time wise, I can play from about 6:00 am to 9:30 am and 2:30 pm to 9:30 pm (EASTERN STANDARD TIME) on week days. Sunday, I cannot play from 10:00 to 11:00. Realistically speaking the time I play is more like 7:00 to 8:30 and 2:30 to 7:00. Oh, and Thursday I can't play after about 5:00 pm. Day wise, I can be on everyday except Sunday, I have not frigged out the plan for Sundays

I all most forgot! Friday evenings I can only play from about 6:00 to 7:00 PM.

On Lewis, he has been in three RPs total. Two of them were in Redwall abbey (he already left Redwall). On top of that, his not a long patrol member yet. Both because IC his never even been to Salamandastron, and OOC I don't quite understand the application process (if that , makes sense). I would still love to RP though.

Hello there chaps and chapesses! How go it with you in jolly old forumland? You have a bally nice place here! This place reminds me of the official web site, Wot! That place was like a tour guide, forum, and Belgian Waffle Maker all round in to one! (Don't ask me WHAT makes it like a Belgian Waffle Maker, it just is.) Have you ever had a Belgian Waffle? It's like a huge waffle shaped pancake. It's wounderful!

*CHOFF* *CHOFF* Sorry, turn in to Lewis again. Don't worry, I've here it's perfectly natural... For me. Turning into a cook with a worse sense of direction than a deaf bat aside, I am here to answer the question.

I have not been on the muck all that long and I have three characters, so I can devote more time to each character.
My first character, oddly enough, is my lest used. Did you read the log where Marek talked Texo (This one: Blueprints And Plans http://forum.rwmuck.org/viewtopic.php?id=306). Remember the random fiddler? THAT WAS HIM! I think he would be a great character, (with a great name, his a marten name Martin) but I have not gotten a chances to play him, so he has done nothing. (He was in two RPs before this, but I am pretty much going to ignore them.)

My second character was more successful. In fact, my account here is named after him. He everyone's favorite war starting sparra. The one! The ONLY! HENRY THE POET!!! *Slow claping* Yeah... him. His first RP was with Rayen... e made up a song about how foxes think they can catch sparrows right after that...that's Henry for you. Henry has changed since his first RP, but I mostly because I the player am bad at keeping him consistent, not because he has developed as a character. He has changed, a bit, but nothing so major he seems like a different person. I think I should move on, if I don't, this will become a rant about how much i love Henry... it may not look like it will, but it will.

My third and final character I talk about earlier in this vary post, it's Lewis! The thing about Lewis is, he was randomly generated! Well mostly. I re-rolled the dice often and sometimes I straight up piked the result I wanted, but this was mostly to make a coherent character I would like playing. The basic concept was still random. On top of that, Lewis' major characteristics I discovered through playing him. So most of his personality was not made up by me. Fun fact, I based Lewis' appearance off of the Black & Tan Belgian Hare, which, despite the fact that it looks like a hare and HAS HARE IN THE NAME, is a type of rabbet (it's like the Belgian Waffle in that way).

And that's all my characters! Despite writing a paragraph on each of them, Henry is the only on you has done anything.

Anyway, I have wasted enough of your time. Farewell my friends, may the winds fill you wings always.

#36 Re: Open Chat » Taking a break » 2017-05-10 06:08:42 AM

You could have him seem to die in character, but not kill off the alt. Then you could have him come back in an epic reveal. The only probable with this plan is that is you don't kill off the alt then everyone knows he's not really dead. It would still be cool though.

The Infirmary of Redwall abbey, four days after the war began.

~Characters~
-Leon, Master Healer of Redwall
-Henry, Bird Bard of the Defenders
& An assortment of spoof sparra including
-Yellowrose, Sparrow maiden
-Ironwood, Sparrow warrior, brother of Yellowrose

~WHEN LAST WE LEFT OUR HEROES~

After sparking the Sparra Civil War, Henry & Leon learned the true reasons behind the why Warclaw, the leader of the Anit-Redwall sparrows, wanted the war to start. A sparra warrior, brother of the sparrow maid who tried to help Leon, marched off with Quickbeak (the former king of the sparra) to kill Warclaw. Our heroes used the Infirmary as a hospital for wounded sparrows. After about a day of waiting, the warrior returned with news of the battle ending in victory for the pro-Redwall before he collapsed from his wounds.
The location of Warclaw is still unknown, so is that of Quickbeak.

Thus is the sparrow civil war...
__________________________________________________________________________________

It is evening when the yellow headed sparra warrior wakes up. He is laying on a cot as warm light floods through the window of Infirmary. Around him is a score of other wounded sparra, all laying on cots like he. There are a few other unwounded sparra perched on various spots in the room, included, his sister and the sparra who gave Warclaw the excuse to start this war, Henry.

Leon walks in and looks around "I hope...all is well or least sparra are recovering" He checks on a couple of the birds quietly and makes sure wounds have not reopen and there is no signs of infection.

With much pain the sparrow warrior tries to get up. His sister hop over and puts a wing on his shoulder. "Youum rest... Now," She says firmly. He lays back down upon his cot with a great sigh.

Leon watches the sparra talk as he tends to another one and shakes his head "Fighting is so wrong, why can't they just share the loft? I know all Sparra use to get along before. "

"Meum tell you way weum fight," Says the Warrior with a voice as cold and clear as ice. He uses a pillow to prop himself up so he can look at the healer. "We fight because if we did not more would die than if we do." Henry gives a chuckle of approval.

"The fighting has stopped," Says the warrior. "But not ended." "You could be a poet." Laughs Henry. The warrior continues, "The enemy has been driven from Loftnest, but themum be back. As it is, thereum be too few sparra from Redwall left too conduct a war." "So the war is over?" asks a novice hopeful. "So Warbeak will collect allies," answerers the warrior. "and so must we."

Leon nods as he tries to think"I am unsure where more Sparrows would be, is Quickbeak still there?"

The Warrior looks at the healer. He speaks calmly and coolly, "There are sparra out side of wormabbey. Did you think that alla sparra live in loftnest? As for KingQuickbeakSparra, I am unaware of his fate. Heum is not in this room, thatum is know." The warrior turns to his sister, "SisterYellowrose, go you and find alla sparra still alive in abbey." With a quick nod, Yellowrose flies off to as she was bidden.

Leon speaks "That is true has to be sonme in the woods that are loyal to abbey beasts or least dislike Warclaw that be willing to help."

"Thereum also some up north," chimes in Henry. "Or at lest there were..." his voice trails off.” And I mean allies, not just sparra," Says the warior. "If Warbeak wants to rule from loft, then he will need more than just sparra."

Leon says, "well not all birds are friendly. Maybe someone should hunt down Warbeak before he gets back."

"You seem to misunderstand," says the warrior. But before he can explain, the door opens to revile Yellowrose and a sore of other sparra. "Oh, good," Says the warrior. One sparra steps forward, acting as a voice for the others. "What do you want us for Ironwood?" He asks. The Warrior, whose name is apparently Ironwood, Speaks with an air of cold commend. "I want alla ten able bodied sparra to fly out in to Mossflower wood and the country beyond and find all the allies you can. Not just sparra, everybeast. Worms, falcons, robins, even Eagles if youum can find any willing. If Warclaw would look for allies, we must find them before he does." "And if we refuse to do so?" Asks the sparrow acting as representative. "Then Warbeak comes and kills us all." And with that, it is but the work of a moment to find ten volunteers. A short while later, there are gone, looking for allies to help them for the next battle.

Leon watches and listens "There is a robin here, named Kurt prehaps he would be willing to help as well, but not help warbeak hopefully."

Ironwood lays back down on the cot, "If he is an ally, we will find find him soon. If he is an enemy, we will kill him soon." And with that, the yellow solder falls asleep. Henry hops to the door, "meum go check on loft, see what stat it is left in. I'll be back soon." The defender's poet goes out the door without a glance behind.

Minsc is finally getting up to walk or least try and walk as a healer on duty helps him go a few steps, he about falls as a sorry is muttered the hamster sighs "Tis fine...just back to the cot" He gets a nod as they head back to his cot and he sits down.

Perched on a nearby chair is a black throated sparrow. He looks on quietly as the hamster returns to his cot. "Well, you can stand, that be a good thing." He says in a very light sparra accent. In the other cots of the Infirmary, are about a score of wounded sparrows who had been coming in since yesterday.

Minsc nods "Tis a start, least the cause of my injuries is dead just wish it was I whom had killed him"

"You kill some you lose some," The sparrow says with a shrug. "Just by glad the you mistakes have not started a civil war."

Minsc frowns "Whats that supposed to mean? I didnt start no war, Quade tried to but he was never a friend, even when I sort of trusted him as I always thought him stuck up and rude"

The black throated sparra starts to chuckle, which than devolves into hysterical giggling. Most in the room turns to look at the laughing sparrow. After a bit, he gets himself under control. "I was not saying that you started a civil war, wormfriend. I was saying I have."

Minsc asks, "You did? How?""

The black throated sparrow takes a deep berth and thinks for a moment. "How to explain," he says. "You see, I..." "Said youum could heal!" Chimes in one of the less wounded sparra. "Brought a worm unto the Loftnest!" Cries another. "Let the prince die!" interjected a third. "..It's complicated." Says henry.

& NPCs including
-A sparrow maiden, her borther was saved by Leon, and she tried to portect him from Warclaw
-The maiden's bother, a cold sparrow warrior
-Sister Beth, healer at the Abbey

~WHEN LAST WE LEFT OUR HEROES~

After starting a civil war in the Loft, Henry & Leon had a chat with Quickbeak, the former king of the sparra, and a sparrow warrior saved by Leon. Our heroes learned that the Warclaw was just using the war to usurp the throne! King Quickbeak, and the warrior want of to kill Warbeak. There fate is still unlearned.

Thus is the sparrow civil war...
__________________________________________________________________________________

It has been four days since the start of the Sparra Civil war. Henry has been helping out in the infirmary, he is not that good at healing. But just being an assistant he does not need to be. The infirmary has been filled with the comings and goings of sparrow warriors for about a day now (which is highly confusing for an abbey novice with a cold, or a dibbun who sprained his ankle while playing, and the like). The rate of sparra have been inconstant, and has slowed down to only a trickle.

Leon is lucky he knows how to treat birds and this only gives him even more knowledge. He has treated eagles and a falcon once. He sighs as he looks around "I wander how the loft is right now, didn't Quickbeak go up there to check?" He also goes to change a bandage of a guard from before this whole Sparrow thing started.

"I don't think checking was what Quickbeak had in mind," Says Henry in a voice somewhere between worry and amusement.

Leon nods "Well I ...I hope he isnt hurt then, I would worry but I have learned a saying dont judge a book by its cover as I knew a badger that was fairly old but he could still fight very well for his age. Our dibbun caretaker is blind but can still use a staff very well if needed"

"Right," Chirps Henry with an optimistic nod. "What's the worst that could happen?" "Warclaw kille alla sparra and goes on to conquer wormabbey too." Says the small yellow sparrow maid. She had been hanging around the infirmary ever since the first wave a wounded sparra. She, like Henry, had been helping out here and there, But she was mostly had been waiting for the results of the battle. The sparrow poet turns slowly unto her. "You see," He explains to her. "Abbey worms have these things call rhetorical questions... That was one of them."

Leon looks between the two sparrows and clears his throat "Don’t think that would happen...and would hate to see it try and happen. The sparra would be killed with arrows and such. My guess is...whomever is left, will just make some serious rules to follow. The sparra was at war with one another before when Matthis was champion many many seasons ago, many sparrow were killed and the abbey helped those fighting for good. I wish Thunderwing was still around he would help at a time like this but he was sadly overtaken and killed by Quade and his horde beasts"

"I for one think that the sparra will win." Says Henry unhelpfully. Henry begins to speak sparra. "If youum worry for bother, don't. Heum will be just-" The black throated bard is interrupted by the door slamming open. In the door way is red mass of feathers. After a moment, it becomes appertain who it is. It is the blood soaked form of a sparrow warrior with a yellow head, the same that left with quick beak yesterday, the sparrow maid's bother. He takes two paces in before falling to the ground with a loud thud. "-fine." Finishes Henry, stunned.

The Sparrow maiden shrikes. Henry hops over as fast as can. He leans down close to wounded warrior, he speaks quickly, "Who won the battle?" "We did." Says the warrior before passing out.

Leon still works on the sparrow best he can, the sparrow is cleaned off and wounds tended to with as much gentleness as he can do and a couple wounds numbed with peppermint oil. Healing herbs are applied and wounds bandaged.

I went a bit over the top with the dialog in that last pose there. But, who says we can't go over the top once in awhile?

Henry the Poet
Replies: 2

~Setting~

The infirmary of Redwall abbey, three days after the war began.

~Characters~

-Leon, Master Healer of Redwall
-Henry, Bird Bard of the Defenders
-Quickbeak, Ancient former king of the sparra
& An assortment of spoof sparra

~WHEN LAST WE LEFT OUR HEROES~

After the battle with Quade, Henry tried to help the wounded sparra warrior. However, the sparrow poet knew nothing about healing, leading to the death for many sparrows. To help the warrior still left, Henry brought Leon, master Healer of Redwall, up into the Loft. This backfired however when a portion of the sparrows, lead by a sparra named Warclaw, attacked Leon, and want to war with the sparrows who wanted to protect Leon. With the loft in chaos, Henry and Leon fled for there lives.
The fate of the Loft is still unknown.

Thus is the sparrow civil war...

__________________________________________________________________________________

Leon is working quietly this morning, still a little shaken up from a couple days ago but he wasn’t hurt at least and he is still master healer so tends to injured in the infirm.

The black throated head of Henry the poet pokes into the room. "Greetings healerworm." He says quietly.

The loft has been turmoil for the last few days and every sparrow who died from their wounds was just adding to it with abbey friendly sparra and Warclaw's sparra on and off fighting all day. The commotion was about to spread down to the abbey too as shortly after Henry there's another sparrow at the door outside. A quick look around and it chirps back out the door and then suddenly there's more sparrows and a couple of the injured being left literally on the infirmary doorstep.

Leon looks over and frowns, he then walks over to help the sparrows, as long as they let him help and calls over a couple novice healers to also help.

The black throated sparrow also helps the wounded inside the Infirmary. "How does the fighting go?" Says Henry, who has started to talk like a redwaller. A small sparrow maiden with a bright yellow head (the same one who saved Leon) comes forwarder. "It go nogood! Both side lost many sparra, weum come down for help form healerworm."

It's at that point probably the oldest sparra in the abbey suddenly appears. Landing on the railing for the steps outside Quickbeak could almost be mistaken for a dust bunny that came to life and grew wings he's so moth-eaten. He's got a few bald patches and just landing seems to dislodge a few feathers but the old crown and battleclaws remain and his eyes look sharp even if one looks like it's starting to go blind. Henry gets a long stare before with a blink he refocuses on Leon "Abbeyworm helpum sparra quickfast" he chirps out at high speed before pointing a claw at Henry "Henrysparra forgettum rules? Forgettum no worms inna loftnest?" he sounds a little irritated.

Leon frowns, he has no clue who the old sparrow is, he rarely sees the sparrows as he goes over to help one with a broken wing that needs reset. "Just...holdum still" He knows their language somewhat, it’s needed for the few times a sparrow comes down to the abbey grounds and that’s usually outside a building.

The eyes of bird bard go wide when the old sparrow lands. "You’re Majesty!" Says Henry with a great bow (or the sparra equivalent). He straightens, and says in his best sparra, "Many brave sparra warriors were woundhurt in battle with evilworm. Henrypoet try and help, but meum no healer. Many sparra die. So Henry get healer wormfriend to help woundhurt sparra!" All this comes out as a torrent of words. "Healer worm save brother..." Says the yellow headed sparrow maid quietly.

Quickbeak hasn't been seen outside of the loft in years, even those who would remember him probably thought he died ages ago. He hops off the railing to the ground to walk in to the infirmary itself "Abbeyworms helpum sparra many times but not inna loftnest!" he practically screeches out the last word. It's like he's telling him off though, he shows no sign of attacking as he slowly walks "Whereum KingNutwingsparra? Whatum happen? Abbeyhouse inna war?" He sleeps a lot, he misses a lot, he's secretly just very old and confused and woke up to a warzone around his nest.

Leon finishes helping a sparrow with a broken wing, he is unsure of weather to interrupt this talk between Quickbeak and Henry or not and for now stays where he is. He was up in the loft yes, talked into it by Henry and deciding to go up after a couple hours of thinking and seems just fine with staying out of the place that’s so...so HIGH off the ground. He lays out some herbs next to a sparrow that’s not as hurt" You could learn to useum...herbs and abbeyworms maybe teach couple sparra healing"

“King Nutwing sparra go missing," Says a small yellow headed warrior. "He son, Prince Starwing, die after battle." The warrior is badly injured, but he his wounds look well treated, he should recover soon. Upon the warrior’s last statement, Henry looks at the ground.

Quickbeak flutters up on to the end of a bed to perch there, quiet after the news on his son and grandchild for a moment but it's Leon he responds to first while he thinks "Any sparra that takeum wormtools inna loftnest now riskum fight. Warclawsparra issa lead eggchicks who notta see abbeyhouse wars before. Seeum dead, thinkum should not helpum Abbeyworms...No Kingsparra inna loftnest to makeum quiet, alla panic"

Leon listens, he nods slowly "Alright....I, myself notta plan going to your wormhome gain. If Sparra want learn of healing then I will let them decide. All Abbeyworms will stay ouuta your home. The badworm involved is..."How was it said… "Got killa by warriorworms...no longer threat now..."

"Warclaw no panic, heum see big picture," Says the yellow headed warrior. All eyes turn to look at him. The yellow sparrow folds his wings behind his back. He speaks clearly and calmly, like a pure shared of ice. "Despite Starwing no calla himself kingsparra, himum was next in line after Nutwing, which make him king. Warclaw be Nutclaw's nephew so heum have clam to kingcrown. However, now that Srarwing be dead, the title of kingsparra fall to Eggchick brother, Dawnfeather. Dawnfeather too young to be kingsparra, so Dawnfeather's mother rule in him stead. Warclaw can not kill Dawnfeather, thatum be crime. Therefore, he must win throne."

Quickbeak nods at Leon's words, glad to hear the outside threat was dead at least, not they just have the sparrows to worry about "Teachum sparra later maybe...Sparra try gettum more hurtsparra outta loftnest down toum abbeyworms" He looks back to the other sparrow as the entire situation gets explained to him. It's questionable if he even recalls all his family that well. He starts to look angry though "Sparra hurt becauseum eggchick wantum be Kingsparra?!" He spreads his wings, another couple of feathers falling out in the process before he screeches "KingQuickbeaksparra showum real Kingsparra! Showum killee! Warclawsparra wantum crown haveum take from Quickbeak!" Quickbeak was a good fighter in his day and loves telling tales of wars he fought but his day was a very long time ago.

Leon blinks… well seems the rightful king may help fix the situation maybe. He nods to the teach healing later maybe issue and leaves it at that. He will help the sparrows here right now, he in fact goes back to tending to a rather scared sparrow, maybe this was their first fight or even first time from the loft. The young sparrow calms some after he sees the mouse as a friend or least the mouse is helping pain go away. It’s not a bad cut on the bird's side, some pain killing and herbs for infection will help, he will leave it up to the sparra in charge if the injured sparrows stay in the infirm or go back to the loft for healing.

The Defenders' poet helps the master healer as best he can. Holding up wounded lambs, grabbing tools, and generally acting as an assistant to the mouse. The yellow headed sparra warrior looks calmly upon his king. "If I may your Majesty," He says coolly. "I would wish to destroy this would be usurper... with my own claws."

Quickbeak may just make things worse if he goes and gets himself killed but that won't stop him from doing something stupid like getting in to a fight. He nods to the other sparra "Come, help, we goum to loftnest and joinum battle, stop fight quickfast" and with that he moves to fly home, though it does take him a couple of attempts to get airborne before his joints loosen enough to allow enough flapping for takeoff.

The yellow headed warrior gives a nod and he moves to fallow the king. But the sparrow maiden jumps in the way. "No! Youum still woundhurt! Youum recover now and warfight last!" "I am sorry," Says the warrior. "But I must fight to protect the crown, to protect the family, and to protect alla Redwall from he who would wish to rule them. I must go." Then he pushes past her without another word. The sparrow maid looks down the hall after him. She says softly as he disrepairs down the hall. "Come back safely... bother!"

Also, how did they cross the Great South Stream?

They come from the south right? So, how about the main horde is fighting in Loamhagde? Loamhagde is about a half a season march from Redwall. So it would make perfect senses that the main horde has not arrived yet. The advance scouts would have basically free reign because the horde is so far away.

I guess all that was kind of assumed anyway.

But, if they are fighting in Loamhagde, then the horde have more of a reason why they are not at Redwall then they have not gotten here yet. And, if there are in Loamhagde (which is to the southwest, not just south) it makes sense that they did not just walk straight up to Redwall, or fallow the west cost to Salamandestron. AND, thenthere's a reason for people to RP around the Great South Cliffs (I think the only other place that has less RPing is Sampetra (or anywhere on the western sea for that matter)).

Am I talking to much? I don't know, I guess I just like Loamhagde (which is wired, because I have not read Loamhagde).

Please, put them in Loamhagde.

Dylan? Dylan is that you?

Dylan old chap, how are you? It's me, Lewis! So do you want finish the rp we were doing, or should we just assume that I got away...

*Cough* *Cough* Sorry, I went into Lewis mode, that happens sometimes. Anyway, what were we posting about? Oh, right, the horde. I for one love the idea, but everyone seems to. Don't worry, I did not come to wast your time, I did have a thought.

If anybaest is aloud in the horde, that would include both vermin, woodlanders, and rarer creatures, like birds, and reptiles. So could there by an eagle? OOC, who won't want to have an epic encounter with an eagle? it could by useful if you need to kill off a character or to gain glory. IC, Eagles are some of the fiercest beast out there, and any warlord would count himself if he had even a eaglet on his side. However, because of that strength, nobeast in the advance scouting would trust it. For, it whip them all out easily if it wished, leading to interesting RP moments with in the horde.
I could talk about it more, but it would be to long for this shortish response.

But, what do you guys think? Is it a good idea, or do you just want me to shut up so that you can get back to RPing?
