SCENE:  Redwall Abbey Great Hall

CHARACTERS: Krisha, a female badger.  Squirrelbabe (Dochas), a female squirrel.

LOG:
Squirrelbabe has snuck away from the other Dibbuns. She needs a break, for real. She's tired of being surrounded by others all the time. She just needs some time by herself And so here she is in Great Hall, playing with some toy soldiers on the hearth, all alone and seemingly perfectly happy about it.   

Krisha walks in and goes to sit down in her chair, a small frown on her face, then seeing Dochas all alobe she clears her throat as she sits down and looks over at the young squirrel.The Badger Mother was busy this morning and its now after lunch.
   
Dochas (more commonly known as Squirrelbabe since she still hasn't told anyone her real name) tilts her ears towards the badger as she clears her throat. Looking up, the DAB Ringleader scowls slightly. "I no wanna go backs to da ovvew Dibbuns! I wantsa be 'lone fow a little bits."   

Krisha sighs and motions for her to come over "You don't have to go back to the others right now but I would like to talk, on something that happen while I was away..a fight you had..achally two fights I think"
   
Dochas stuffs her toy soldiers into a little bag and loops the bag handles over her shoulder, then crosses her arms and stalks over to the Badger Mother. "I fighted Tanya 'cause she said Ciana no belong an' wouldn't say sowwy. I no get in anovvew fight." She's not counting the thing with Spruce as a fight.   

Krisha says, "I heard there was one with Spruce but yes the one with Tanya was much worse. Anything I should know of this, was anyone else hurt and also no one should fight in the abbey"
   
Dochas scowls. "Spwuce wude t'you an' Gwacie an' DwowaWose an' evewybeastie else! I no like him! An' I only bited Tanya's eaw an' stuff. Noffink else." Not true, as her black eye testifies. Also, she was limping slightly on the way over here, and she hasn't been scrambling onto everything like she usually does. "But if she a meanie face, whot am I /s'pposed/ t'do?? She maded Ciana /cwy/!" She waves her arms around emphatically.   

Krisha sighs "Tell an adult. I am unsure what to do about Tanya yet but she was punished and has been kept away from Ciana. Ciana has had a hard time lately I also know but she wont talk to any beast about it"   

Dochas scowls darkly. "You gwown ups nevew does anyfink." She plops down on the floor, grimacing slightly and absently rubbing her side. "Ciana sad 'cause she gots no mammy or daddy." She checks herself before saying 'duh' or anything like that. Disrespecting the Badger Mother is probably a really bad idea.
   
Krisha takes a calming breath , then speaks "Adults don't always know and we do try...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and I know...she is an orphan, more than one of the dibbuns here are. But I think Elbio was gonna adopt Ciana but I cant make sure thats correct till spring when he is set to come back"   

Dochas herself is an orphan, which the Abbey does know. She now stands back up, glaring at the badger. "Why it no work? You shtoopidhead. Dat Elbow a shtoopidhead. He left an' now Ciana all 'lone." Her anger suddenly is replaced by confusion. "What adopt mean?"
   
Krisha folds her arms over her chest as she looks at the young squirrel, yeah talking back was a bad idea "Squirrelbabe....."She sounds on the tip of anger herself now as a calm breath is taken and she replies to the question" Adopt means...someone decides to be someones parent."
   
"Oh," mutters Squirrelbabe, then she's back to being angry. "So's he lefted hew a' by hewself aftew sayin' he'd be her daddy?! He a meanie face!! He no good enough fow hew!!" She crosses her arms.
   
Krisha calms as she speaks again "He needed to go back to the mountain with Lord Ciocan for something imporant and is to be back...prehaps training but I didn't ask...sorry" She could of but.....well she just didnt really talk to the badger lord much as it sees her mate Xander finds it so easy to talk to him.

Dochas stamps a foot. "NO HE DIDN'T NEEDSA GO!! He a bad daddy!"
   
Krisha stands up now, not a good sign at all, a deep breath and nope that helps little "Squirrelbabe....go to Abbot Benar and tell him I sent you to...chat" Oh boy..angery badge Mother.
   
Dochas's tail is sticking up like a flagpole, and she crosses her arms. She stands there, glaring angrily. But something seems to come to her, and she bares her teeth. "Ffffine! I goesa talk ta da Abbit!" And she stomps off, headed for the Abbot's chambers, trying to hide her worry and fear over the upcoming conversation she's about to have.
